I had surgery for a hernia about 3 years ago, was wondering if anyone else has too. I'm curious because it's never really given me any problems except when I bend my waist a certain way it kind of hurts, or when I press on where they patched it up there's still some pain. However, tonight when I was jackin it and I blew my load, I had possibly some of the worst pain I've ever experienced. My right nut felt like it was about to explode and I had very sharp pain in one my my right "tubes." Then I stood up to clean up, walked to the bathroom, and everything started to go black, my ears started buzzing really loud, and I was EXTREMELY disoriented for about 20 minutes...I felt like I had a concussion. My heart was pounding and I was struggling to breath as well. I even tried pouring myself a glass of juice and I couldn't even put it back on the shelf I was so weak and disoriented. Everything looks fine down there, however something just doesn't feel right.

This is the same side I had surgery on, and only an inch or so below the scar. Has anyone else ever had something similar happen? I'm kind of worried here. Surgery is the last thing I need right now. I guess I should also add that the mesh patch they used to patch me up with was recalled 2 years ago, but I didn't do anything about it because, well, they'd have to cut me open to replace it, and that wasn't really an option for me as long as everything was working fine. SO, anyone here experienced the same kind of thing? If it still hurts in a few days I'll probably be heading to the doc, but just wanting to hear people's opinions about what could be wrong down there. Thanks

lucky8 - had double hernia repair in April this year. Except for having to explain 5 small odd scars no difference; in fact back to same fitness routine as before. No pain other than can be reasonably expected. Wish I could tell you something useful.

Hi Lucky8, i had something similar about a year ago when i hadn't jerked off for about a month and i was extremely horny. I didn't want to jerk off as i was waiting for my partner to come home from being away. I ended up with an excruciating pain in my right testicle and it radiated up my tubes to my groin area. Even after having a release the pain continued for weeks and only got worse. I was hunched over in pain and could barely walk, had ultra sounds looking for a hernia but none was to be found all they could find was that i had enlarged tubes in my testes. I had doctors take a look and feel around to say "yeah you've got a hernia", yet they couldn't visually see it nor could i. They wanted to operate, wasn't happy with there opinion and sought another doctor who was female this time. She told me i had urinary tract infection.
The pain eventually left after taking antibiotics and cranberry juice. Now and again i still feel as though things aren't right but the pain doesn't eventuate. I guess i am paranoid about having a hernia in my testicles.

I also had an operation for hernia 2 or 3 years ago. In Nederland the make now a very small cut in the pubic area, about 3,5-4 cm, and they pull your intestines back out of your sack and then they close the hole and also put in a screen so that it never happens again, at least on that same side. I never had any pain afterward but the doctor who made the operation said that occasionally I would turn just a certain way and I would feel a scratchiness from the screen. He was right, very infrequently I do, but it does not bother.

Had a double hernia operated on through the belly botton area 3 years ago and have never had any discomfort no matter what. I am as at least as active today as before the surgery (back then I worried about "popping a nut") and now I never think about it.

I had a double hernia opp 5 years ago
Surgeon tried to do it keyhole through near navel but my stomach lining was too thin so did open surgery.
I had a terrific lot of bruising due to the double operation.I was a bit cautious about intercourse for a month but I jacked off a week later and have done daily every day since with no sign of pain.Several farmer friends have had hernias done and I have not heard of a problem

I've had both right and left inguinal hernias repaired. The right one never bothers me. The left one, notice it sometimes, moving a certain way or twisting, but nothing medically alarming.
Go see your doctor. Get and opinion from someone who's paid to "practice". lol
good luck and don't stand too fast or you'll faint.
btw: how's your blood pressure?

I could never understand why some guys, especially with symptoms as he describes, do not get right into their doctor? I agree with the above 2 posters.

Some people react differently than others. I had my second hernia operation in January. I only took less than a week off from work and I stand all day. My first surgery was the type where they only make small cuts and since it was a double on the one side, mesh was used.
My second was one big slice and mesh was also used. I still feel some pulling at the top of the cut even though its been 7 months. I had a wierd sore which I showed my doctor and he sent me back to the surgeon to look at it. I was told that it was an ingrown hair but my regular doctor thinks it was a stich comming through.
My suggestion to anyone with pain in their groin, go to your doctor and keep on it until you find out what is wrong. I thought I had the second one and my regular doctor missed it during my annual physical. I had to go back to get some results on the blood work done right after the physical and made her look again. She got me right in to see the surgeon.

I had a hernia operation when I was 2 years old. All I can remember was a white tape on my inner right side of my pelvis. Ever since the scar remains.
