A friend of mine says I have a song on my computer that he likes and has stuck in his head, but he can't remember much at all about it. He claims its a female vocalist, its sad/slow/depressing almost, says it isn't Dido, and there is a music video of the song where the girl is looking over a photo album and ripping out pages that "fly out" according to him. I literally went through all my songs and telling him ones I thought it might be.

I know I'm not giving much to work with here but members here have always surprised me with their knowledge in the past. Anyone wanna give this one a guess?

Edit: He also described the voice as sort of raspy.

Is she old or young or British or anything that might help? "Not Dido," doesn't help much unless he means to say she's part of the Dido/Pink/Bjork alternative-songstress group.

Do you know if it's an older song (many years ago), a relatively recent song (within the last 2 years or so) or a very recent song?

Can you give us an idea of what female vocalists you listen to whose songs you have on your computer?

This is a bit of a long shot, but I wonder if it could be Anna Nalick's "Breathe." She doesn't have a photo album in the video, but she's got photos hung up around the room. Maybe that's what your friend is remembering? Otherwise I can't begin to guess without more clues.

Your post actually reminded me what it is just from the word Breathe. Its the song Breathe Me, by Sia.

YouTube - Sia - Breathe Me

I originally heard this during the finale of Six Feet Under, and I had been listening to the song while my friend was at my house. Thanks for the help remembering =)

This also makes sense why I couldn't find the song while listening to all of mine, I never downloaded the MP3. I used to just listen to it from this link on Youtube.

I almost didn't reply to this thread because my guess was such a long shot, and didn't really fit your clues--and was, in fact wrong--but since my guess, although incorrect, provided the right clue to jog your memory, I'm glad I replied.

Was that a long, overly complicated sentence or what?

The stormtrooper helmet she's wearing in a couple of the photos is pretty random.
