I take 10 mg lisinopril daily. . .I have erection difficulties with it as well. 50 mg authentic viagra usually does the trick. . .rock hard. I have found the generic viagra from alldaychemist (manly brand) to be less potent than the real thing--I usually have to take at least 100 mg of the generic, and sometimes more to get a response.

For the last several months I have been more careful about my diet, more exercise, and consistent with vitamin supplements, plus ZMA before bed. Erections are much better, plus more frequent morning wood, plus better sex drive. I still take viagra, but less of it. I have also found that the herbal testosterone boosters (tongkat ali, also called longjack) and tribulus work well for me. But they have to be cycled. . .I cycle mine 5 days on and 2 days off. My testosterone is definitely higher. . .I'm hairier, my balls are much bigger and fuller, and I'm hornier in general. I'm 50 yrs. old.

Many medications have the unfortunate side effect of either causing or contributing to and making mild ED a great deal worse.

I have fought ED from an injury for years and found that orals were lousy with regard to both reliability and side effects.

Anyone suffering from ED that is taking any of the orals without 100% success needs to run not walk away from them and go to injection therapy instead.

1. All orals are systemic therapy and this can cause complications with some BP meds simply because some oral ED drugs are in and of themselves decendents of BP meds. They make a mess and make things more complicated.

2. Injections work and work very well with little to no discomfort. If you buy your injectable in bulk it actually ends up being far cheaper than the orals including the cost of the syringe and it works like gangbusters. Injectables are not systemic and act in a localized manner.

After time on these my preference is Quadmix because it is the most comfortable. This is a combination drug made up of Atropine, Phentolamine, Papavarine and Prostaglandin E-1. Caverject is the singular drug Prostaglandin E-1. Erections on Caverject can be painful and the presence of the other three drugs works as a stabilizer without causing pain. Having been working on this one for years with a specialist MD to get this kind of treatment for more men and get the good information out there, I have a great deal of experience in this area. The injectables when taken with oral BP medications are actually safer and better.

Good Luck for those who need help. . . . .

Dont forget that if you're on BP meds your underlying BP problem may already have caused slight hardening of the arteries in your dick over years bfore diagnosis, which can easily lead to limpness, nothing to do with the meds. If you're not sure, stop the meds for 4weeks (short term wont matter, just dont see the doc), see if woody comes back, if so -restart the meds to see if the problem recurs. Betablockers are much worse at causing rubber erections than ACE inhibitors like lisinopril. Remember to tail off betablockers over a week (half for two days, qtr two days, qtr alt days 3 days). to restart go straight to the doses you were on.

A boost from viagra (or cialis) should help in either case. If not then there is something else wrong, maybe lack of libido, performance anxiety, depression, low testosterone, . In any case check youre not going diabetic, at least once a year

I'm 57 and ED issues arose for me about two years ago. I'm not completely sure what the underlying problem might be, but I also suffer from high blood pressure and problem alcohol abuse, so these are probably contributing issues. I definitely miss morning erections, and even masturbation has lost its appeal. My wife isn't demanding at all, and in fact is very understanding, so there's no pressure there. But I would love to have my cock back. Two weeks ago, I decided to stop my BP meds (Exforge) and my statins, and I now only drink once a week instead of every day. I've taken both Viagra and Cialis (doctor prescribed...the real stuff definitely), and my erections are actually better than when I was 18. Viagra erections are almost comical they're so hard, but I like Cialis better because it's less affected by food and lasts a very long time for me. I'd like to stop taking them, so that's why I'm taking the clean, sober, and unmedicated route to see what happens. (I suspect that my high blood pressure might be caused by my drinking problem.) One thing I've noticed about Cialis, and I wonder if anyone else has experienced this, is that it really makes my cock sensitive and prone to erections after my first orgasm on Cialis. Regardless, ED sucks, and I encourage all the young men here to take care of themselves to ensure proper and satisfying erections.

I guess Im lucky. I take lisonpril and a beta blocker and still get good and hard when I want to. Im 60. It takes a little longer to get there but when it does it is good and hard and stays that way until I cum. When younger and healthier I was always getting rock hard boners that would stick straight up against my belly. Even before I could actually shoot, I would get those little rock hard boners that just would not go away. I guess I have always had good penis circulation and strength.

I was on Lisinopril for about a month, I was too busy coughing to even notice if I had any kind of erection problems or not. I am on Diovan now and haven't had any problems.
