Anyone Know

Taper candles (the bottom end).

That's about the only safe household item I can think of right off the top of my head. When I went to work at my first job at a hospital, the anatomic pathology lab had a special "cabinet," which contained items that had been removed from orifices in the E.R. (because they were "stuck" there and the patient and/or their partner could not remove them).

So you definitely don't want to get carried away and have your household item become part of a "collection."

Just say "no" to... bed posts, billiard balls, beer bottles, ceramic frogs (ribbit!)....

Ahh dang it, I was just going to say "bed post". Guess that's out...

Seriously though, if you want to experiment with ass play, get yourself a dildo and play it safe. Any embarassment that may be involved in obtaining one will beat that of a trip to the ER to have some bizarre foreign object extricated from your rectum. :biggrin1:

Why are you reticent to use a dildo? The look of it? You can get plain looking ones or buttplugs... even toys that don't look like sex toys at all? Are you embarrassed about going into the store? There are many places online where you can order things very discreetly.

Though I have used a lot of household objects, I really do recommend a toy specifically for the purpose of sex play.

Can't afford to spend money. I know they can be cheap but right now I just can't.

If you must do without a dildo (although I highly recommend one)...
Cucumber. Wash it, trim and shape the end if it's too pointy, encase it in a condom, and use water-based lube. I say cover it with a condom just to be safe. Pesticides, bacteria - you just never know.

My advice would be to wait until you can afford it, then. I've seen them as cheap as about $8. Keep in mind it'll cost you more than that to even get the time of day at your local ER. Not to mention sheer humiliation has no price.

I have, in the past, used a stick of O-Glue (non-capped end first). It works alright, though a proper dildo is worth buying if that's what you're interested in.

I think candles work as well as anything, the smooth taper type. That is the first thing I used to experiment with. I don't think a store bought dildo is significantly better.

I agree -- candles are not too damn bad if you're okay with something relatively slender (which is probably the best starting point, anyway). If you get a few bucks, and want to use a real toy that doesn't look "phallic" and is more slender than a typical dildo, you may want to try something like this:

We have this exact one. I prefer dildos or butt plugs, but TM likes the wand used on him (and yes, he gave me permission to say that).

Like Kalipygian, I first experimented with taper candles, mostly because I was too young to go into a shop and buy a dildo. Plus, at that point, I wouldn't have had the confidence to buy an anal toy. As you can see, though, the one I linked to is less than $10.00 - not a big financial commitment, for something that's pleasurable and safe to use over and over.

I'm wondering, though, whether the real issue here may be that you're under 18 years of age. (Not that you shouldn't be able to experiment anally as a teenager...but just that you're not supposed to be on this site). If that's the case, you'll probably have to make do with candles for the time being. But as Kal said, they're really not too bad. And you can buy them with ridges, etc. as well (which I'm sure the designers did not intend for anal stimulation, but oh well!)

You'll probably want to look for unscented candles, to avoid irritation.

How about going to a park or into the woods and finding a branch of the thickness you want and whittling it so its round and smooth. You can even carve a head if you're talented enough. Then go over it with sand paper to get rid of any rough spots. Put a condom over it or wrap it in plastic wrap when you want to use it. It's not fancy but it works.
