Anyone try or know anything about Resveristol supplements?
Exactly, what is the purpose of it? Or what are you looking for? Rejuvenation?
Recent study based in some Scandinavian country - big trial, good power... was stopped as they found there were more bad endpoints in people who took resveretrol cf placebo...but they were really high doses and are hard to interpret
Just drink some red wine with a meal. That's a good natural source of it that people have been using for thousands of years.
I bought a bottle at Whole Foods. It is made from red grapes/wine. It is supposed to be anti-aging. So far, in one week, I have lost 4 pounds. If you buy it, ONLY buy the "TRANS" resveristol as that is the active form. It is more expensive than the non-trans, but you want to get the best.
It is an excellent antioxidant with weight control benefits.
This is very good advice. You have to be careful when using suppliments. Resveratrol can cause major adverse drug-drug interactions (if you are taking other medications). Just because it comes from a whole foods store does not mean it's safe.
the main benefit for men is that it lowers conversion of testosterone into estrogen. But, you have to take a LOT of it to have any measurable effect.
Have your doc do a full endocrine workup on you (test, estro, estradiol, dht, and gh). Make sure he actually gives you a hard copy of the results because the medical profession uses the same range for 2 year olds 22 year olds and 92 year olds. So you may be too low or high on something and still be considered "ok" by their rules.
If something is low or high then look at treating it. For many guys estro is too high, if that's the case you're way better taking nolvadex or arimidex or exemestene than any crap you can find at GNC.
