Hey I am in the process of trying to exit my company that has decided the current US market for these job types is too high. So they have turned to India, Spain, Serbia, Brazil, anywhere else they don't have to pay full market rate. Has anyone here applied to (FAANG) companies? Right now my focuses are on Capital One, vmware and Slack (soon to be Salesforce owned). I did interview with Amazon (web services) and found them frankly nasty stoics stuck on just whatever they're stuck on. A couple were nice but the other two were just total ass. It wasn't a success and I couldn't get out of interviews soon enough.

If anyone else is doing/trying this say hi.

It depends on what you’re willing to accept. Banks tend to hire their fintech teams internally, I think. And I know for sure that medical services are in dire need of developers.

Also might be a good choice to hunt down some government contractors. I imagine, when all is said and done, administrative software is going to be completely replaced. The pandemic really showed how much we let our sides down on that front.
