    Twenty Questions

My CPU is a neural net processor, a learning computer.

Its fun trying to stump an AI

    When you do, it learns

    Things I didn't know
    A detective is not edible
A detective is not an ingredient of beer
A detective can be used for communications
A detective is probably a type of primate
A detective is not native to the Atlantic Ocean
A detective is probably not in a closet

    *nods*

I tried "schadenfreude" -- and most of the questions were just a little too concrete to answer sensibly ("Do you use it at work?" "Is it hard?")

I tried "phalanges" -- and was surprised that eventually it guessed "knuckle", and I felt that was close enough that I said yes. And then the program chided me because earlier I said it was something that couldn't be washed!

It was interesting, but it's not quite there yet.

Sorry for the double-post, but seeing as how it's 5am here, I decided to try "fatigue":

Here are the program's very bizarre insights into fatigue (it's brown and has a tail!):

Wow, it was actually right. I'm gonna try again and see if I can stump it.

Either I'm really uncreative or predictable, but it has guessed right everytime (sometimes requiring more than 20 questions). But it did guess. Interesting.

I've stumped it a few times, mostly with abstract concepts.

My friend said it guessed Chicken in 10 tries.

Its guessed me in 20 questions about 1 in 4 times.

I think now I'll try "weltschmerz"; but do foreign words count?

It didn't get "jock strap"...but it got very close with shorts, jersey and swim suit. Very interesting.

But it got cd player, airplane and computer...go figure that one. B)
