You are assuming. Lots of people don't want that socially prescribed default existence, and they're no less than you. You're projecting your own views on the whole population, just as you've done since beginning this thread. I can only imagine what you think of gay and bisexual people. Actually, I can imagine, Mr. Holier than Thou.
Let me pose a few more questions: Does your god approve of you talking about "balls" in polite company and calling women "hoes"? What the hell does he think of you hanging out on a big dick site? Do you ever stare at the members' members? Does he approve of you casting judgement on others?
What would Jesus say? Here's a clue: John 7:53-8:11 [/QUOTE]
O.K. Mr. Cranky.
See, why is it that whenever anyone brings up religion, there's always this default defensiveness that comes out?
Everyone thinks they know what Christianity is about. They think it's all about a list of do's and don'ts and living life in a state of self-inflicted fear.
The funny thing is, it can be incredibly empowering and give life new meaning, answers to questions like 'What is our purpose here?' and 'Why was I (specifically) put here on this earth?'
But I'm not dense. I understand that everyone goes about trying to understand the world around them in different ways. There's no one right path to going about having a relationship with the Creator. Whether someone goes about doing this via Judaism, Christianity, Islam, or any other religion is irrelevant (if you ask me, Judaism-Christianity-Islam are like Acts I,II, and III of the same play).
However, what I don't subscribe to is this idea that truth is relative. That I do not accept. There is ONE truth and ONE truth only. If we can accept this, then I believe that we can live more conscious lives.
And to answer your question, no, I don't condemn gays. I believe that God created gays for a reason. They should be treated just like anyone else, based on their own individual merit. In fact, gays gave me a lot of breaks in my life.
And I'm sorry if me saying 'balls' was too crude for you. I apologize. I said it before and I'll say it again. I am no different than anybody else. I sin habitually, but I do try to be the best person I can be. And why is it that just being on a forum like this is wrong? I don't necessarily feel that way, although it does distract me from doing more important things.
Anyway, you need to chill out, bro. I'm sorry if you had bad experiences with religious types in the past, but don't paint us all with the same brush.
