I'm forced to agree with pretty much everyone here. How does liking sex make one immoral. So you meet online and hookup for a good time, it's just another form and medium of continuing what's been happening since society began.

Using the internet to hook up shouldn't be seen as bad, or immoral, it's just using what might be man kind's greatest invention to weed through the bull and find like minded people. In fact, since we're pretty much the only creatures to have sex for pleasure, it's kind of in our nature. If you're safe and have a good time, I really don't understand how anyone can mistake it as whorish.

One moment, please! Would it not be the most moral (right) thing to do to asskume that the OP is not a troll and is asking the questions sincerly? After all it does still give each of us the opportunity to chime in.

I like to think of myself as a moral person. That has not prevented me from acting contrary to the prevailing ideas of the communit5ies of which I was a part.

When the new guy in town and I bonded in friendship and ended up inititating each other into the world of cocksuckers one afternoon, we both wanted and needed to express our affection for each other sexually. The sex was great and we pronounced it to be so in the afterglow and began looking forward to the repeat of the session of sexual communion we had enjoyed. Did we feel gkuilty of some terrible deed? Not for a moment, But we did have the good sense to keep what had happened under the radar of the morality snoops. In fact we agreed that what happens sexually between two persons is personal and private and ought to remain so. So far as I know no one was hurt by our two year sexual relationship. I loveed my teen partner then and I love him still though we have not had any sex together since we graduated from high school.

And, our families and friends did not probe (ask) and we did not tell!

as far as sex is concerned, it seems to me that morality is not a question of what sexual acts you perform and with whom, but rather of giving respect and caring to the person/people you are involved with sexually (and their other partner where applicable).

not hurting (physically or emotionally) a person with whom you share physical intimacy is the chief point of sexual morality.

not offending the "community norms"? if those people are so moral according to their own definition, then why is their mind always focused on what's going on in another person's pants? sex can be personal and private with those people we choose to do it or talk about it with. all others can mind their own "fucking business."

One often-mentioned word - bonobo.

I was generalizing for the sake of brevity. I wasn't aware that it would be so closely scrutinized. I'll put more thought into my words next time. However, since it has been brought up, bear in mind that exceptions do not make the rule. Here are a few more often-mentioned words to add to that.

Enjoy :)

"Oral sex that appears purely for pleasure has been documented in goats, hyenas, various primates, manatees, bats and sheep,"

Animal Pleasure

Animals obviously hook up, at least during mating season. But do they like it? According to experts, there are two answers: "yes" and "it is impossible to know."

Animal Sex

It is a common myth that animals do not (as a rule) have sex for pleasure, or alternatively that humans, pigs (and perhaps cats, dolphins and one or two species of primate) are the only species which do. This is sometimes formulated "animals mate only for reproduction".
Science cannot say at present conclusively what animals do or do not find "pleasurable", a question considered in more depth under Emotion in animals. The urban myth website Snopes.com considers this particular view in depth. Its conclusions are broadly that the statement is true, but only using a very specific definition of "sex for pleasure" [italics in original], in which sexual acts tied to a reproductive cycle or for which an alternative explanation can be asserted, are ignored, as is all sexual activity that does not involve penetration.

I guess you could call me St. Augustine. Look him up. Right now I think my morals are pretty straight, but I guess it depends on what you're judging them against. Forget about putting a bible, koran or any other publication up against me - I won't conform. But I'm socially moral. I won't gouge you, cheat you or try to steal. I'll give you your space and I expect mine. But if you need my space for a little while, I'll allow it within reason.

I don't get offended by someone wishing me a Merry Christmas or Happy Hannukah or even Allah Akbar. That's cool. You believe. Go forth and be happy. I don't happen to hold those beliefs and if that makes me a bad person in your eye, trust me when I tell you that the big fellow is not going to say "Oh, you're going to hell because you didn't save Cap's soul." If he does, then you probably don't want to stick with him anyway.

Twenty years ago I was a completely different person. I do consider myself immoral back then. Probably amoral would be more appropriate. If you have no morals and little use for them then how can you be against them? It's like having an atheist placing their hand on a bible. Sure, I'll do it for all the good it'll do. But if it makes you feel better I'll go ahead.

I have nothing to fight for besides my right to be and my family's welfare. I don't strike out for a cause or defend one. My country is not the most moral establishment on the earth despite what my neighbor with the flag says. He also has a confederate flag flying from his back porch, so that waters down his reason right there.

I do believe in the Constitution of the U.S. but it appears very few of our political leaders do. I am not a Democrat or a Republican and hate the fact that the State of Florida demands that we choose a party in order to vote. That's why I'm a member of the Surfer's Party. Who gives a shit.

If there's something to pick on in our posts, someone will always find it . Admittedly I was being lazy with the bonobo thing :biggrin1:.

Well just to put this out there - people are animals - our bodies are those of animals, they respond to and react to stimulus - sex in many ways is a great way to express our deep emotional bonds or sometimes just our powerful psyhical attractions... either way there is nothing immoral about sex unless we use it as means of manipulating or compensating for other things...sex is really the last thing we should be ashamed of in our lives...

just because is a "church going christian" it does not mean they have high morals or basic morals for that matter!

agreed: i know several ppl who regularly go to church that have exhibited some VERY immoral behavior...you name it, they've done it...sometimes even inside the church building!

but here's the thing: even though I notice that those ppl & many ppl on this site do things I'd never do, it doesn't give me (or anyone else) the right to judge them...
