People with small penises are too embarrassed to be openly offended. To take offense would be to admit you’re small.. and even if you’re not small, you don’t want people to think you’re small.
For the general public, there’s no repercussion for small dick jokes. And women don’t really know how those jokes offend guys, especially developing teens who are already probably insecure and hormonal

Great question. I think Giacomo has it.

In order for a joke to become taboo people have to show that it is hurtful and insulting. However no man will admit to being a Small, so we just let those jokes go, even if they hurt us.

Why is it socially taboo to tell jokes about race, religion, gender, etc., but perfectly acceptable to tell jokes about smalls?

Small people, small cars, small boobs, small country, small world....

Yes, for some reason everyone thinks it's okay to make jokes about small cocks. I've heard them at the gym by guys who are well aware I'm hung like a chipmunk. Heck, I'm right there, naked! The same at parties. Though usually not naked!

In the movies, how many times have I squirmed through the scene where the mean high school jock or snobbish, rich class president is disclosed as having a teeny weeny. Porky built a franchise out of small dick jokes.

One of my favorite movies is Notting Hill. Even in this sweet comedy, there's a small cock joke. At a restaurant, a guy crudely calls an actress a slut to his buddies, without realizing the actress, played by Julia Roberts, is sitting at a nearby table. She gets up, crosses to their table, and says she bets he has a small penis. "Enjoy you dinner, fellas!"

It's always kinda tricky hearing these type jokes in a movie when you're with a woman you've been intimate with. Do you laugh or not? Same at the parties. As others have said, whatever you say will be an admission of having a small dick. On the other hand, sometimes it's a nifty way to out yourself!

I’ve always taken issue with how bad guys in movies are so often portrayed as having small penises. And good guys are usually hung. And it’s often seen as empowering for women to make small dick jokes in movies. It just sends a bad message to kids who might be watching and teens who probably are watching these movies.

i dunno- I tell jokes about race, religion, gender, orientation, and I could give a flying fuck who gets offended. If you ain't got a sense of humor... then you might as well know you wouldn't enjoy my company right off the bat.

Oddly enough, The folks I hang with have taken to calling my shop the "Safe Space"- because they are pretty much on safe ground to say ANYTHING, and know no one will take it all that seriously.

So Disney's into small penis jokes, too?

Only for those with a big chip on their shoulder.

Walt Disney could have had a small dick...who knows??? Who cares. Either way, did not stop him from beginning and creating one of the largest businesses in the world. Mostly built upon the back of a small mouse. Come to think of it, heaps of his animated movies revolved around the small things in life...

Yea.. that’s a separate issue altogether. I don’t think any topic is off limits for jokes. I’ve heard rape jokes, 9/11 jokes, aids jokes that had me rolling. But in the age of outrage every joke is scrutinized like crazy.. with the exception of small dick jokes. Nobody voices a concern. Obviously I don’t think it’s off limits. But people might find it curious that so many go crazy over fat-shaming and nobody says a word about small dick shaming. Thats all we’re saying

nobody says boo about Poverty shaming, either.

And its still pretty much open season on white men....

Oh and Toupee or Balding shaming still perfectly okay...

Nazi Shaming.

Conservative and Liberal shaming.

And catholic priest jokes still perfectly okay as long as they strike the appropriate tone.

In fact- I would say that Shaming is STILL just as frequent as ever- its just that the target has changed.

You get shamed for fat shaming.
You get shamed for rape joking.
You get shamed for NOT shaming the Right People.

All I see is the exact same finger wagging moral scolds who used to wag their finger at fat people, at nerds, at jews or any group that has been traditionally made the but of jokes and social ostracization.

Nowadays its just folks decrying stereotyping by sterotyping sterotypers.

Hypocrites- every fucking one of them.

This is a separate question. Probably should start a separate thread.

The article linked by wallyj84 I Like Big Dicks and I Cannot Lie - Smart Bitches, Trashy Books
claimed that the heroes in most romance novels are almost always enormously hung. This tied in with a few articles I've seen recently where female celebrities publicly declared their preference for big cocks. One quoted twenty or so interviews from television, the radio (Howard Stern), and print where wll-known actresses and singers avowed their love for enormous schwanzes, along with their disdain for small ones. One of the articles opined that it was a status symbol for famous women to advertise their men were well-endowed.

This led me to wonder if this is becoming more and more the norm among women in general? I mean, I remember when I was single some chicks confessing in private their preference for biguns, but not publicly, not for all to hear. I don't go to single bars anymore so I'm not sure if this is common talk now. I do know I've heard things along these lines a couple times in the last year. Once at a party, where one babe, a friend of my wife, declared her preference for major-sized salami, avidly supported by another lady (who, by the looks of her, should be happy to get any sized cock). Also, overheard conversation along these lines at the park a couple weeks ago. Not one of the girls disagreed, although a few giggled uproariously. "Oh, Judy!"

So, besides the idea that women may now be into big cocks, are they also becoming more vocal about their preferences along this line? Is this seen as a status symbol?

I think theres definitely backlash for poverty shaming. I don’t know what circles you run in.. As far as bald shaming, its the same issue as small dick shaming. People are too embarrassed to admit how much it hurts. So society doesn’t see an issue with it.
I agree that white men are shamed. However white men, like myself, openly talk about resentment towards it. The only reason it’s allowed in society, is because white men have been demonized for so long.
And of course politics is open season for professional outrage today.
But you’re taking this conversation way off course.
The simple fact is when people are to embarrassed to speak up, they’re fair game for society. Toupee, small dick, chronically flatulent.. whatever it is.
Obviously society loves to be outraged and loves to shame. But like I said, your moving outside the scope of this thread. If you start another thread on the topic, I’d love to lament the insanity of society with you
