I don't want to get banned over this issue, but I think it is important that we face up to the debate.

I think Scottish Raspberries are bigger than Blackberries.

Silly rabbit. Anything black is inherently bigger than anything not black.

Scottish raspberries and the average blackberry are about the same size, but you occasionally get mutant blackberries which are massive and easily bigger than a Scottish raspberry.

Blackberries in the Seattle-Vancouver area are monstrous and extremely prolific. An indigenous rubus, the salmonberry, here in Alaska has individual berries as large, but they are sparcer. Raspberries grow well here, there are wild ones everywhere, but not blackberries, which I much prefer.

Do others prefer the taste of blackberries?

We grow them wild here in MI, and they vary in size.

Some are the same size as rasberries, and some are HUGE.

I think the best flavored ones are the Wild variety as they are in the fertile soil of the woods, and get alot of moisture.

I love to make my own blackberry Jelly when they are in season.
