Are gay men the majority on lpsg?

In the last few days I have noted an astounding collection of gay men in comparison straight men and women, so I was just wondering if there are any offical figures or what not.

It just stands to reason that they would be.
If you were to split membership down the middle between those who have and those who merely appreciate a large cock and then split them again by expected genders and orientations you'd get

25% straight men with
25% gay men with

and

25% gay men who appreciate
25% women who appreciate

That would make a full 50% of the membership here gay men.

Now factor in the straight men who are too homophobic to participate on a board that is very gay friendly and the number of women who proclaim that size doesn't matter or are simply less inclined to participate in online fora at all and you see that the ratio of gay men increases.

I'd say that the straights or straight-leaning predominate in the overall membership. As for the most frequent participants, that's another story. In any case acknowledgment of some level of bisexuality is the rule rather than the exception here.

I like it because it answers a lot of those questions that one would not normally talk about. It could be something as simple as do you like scratching your balls or do you like fingering yourself, or reading about others experience with silly stuff like swamp crack, etc, etc, etc.

Gay or straight, you learn fairly quickly that you're not a odd ball, that your pretty normal no matter which side of the dick you like to swing on. ;-)

Exactly why I come...I like that straight/bi/gay members can talk about things without the typical homophobia crap getting in the way. If I get a compliment from a gay man, I appreciate it and don't feel pressure to do anything more than say thanks. I'd bet threads like self-sucking wouldn't happen on a straight-only site.

If you're looking for hookups with straight women, it isn't that kind of site. So it really doesn't matter the ratio, unless all the topics were gay-oriented and not LP-oriented. I like the mix the way it is...

I would say that statistically speaking, gay men are more vocal here and post more. The straights are here, but tend to be more quiet.

How do I know?

When the debates were going on whether to split the fictious stories section or not into, Straight, Gay, and Everything else, a poll was taken. The vote to split the stories was way skewed for the split. Now, this part is an assumption based on the comments posted, which I read everyone of them. Most straights were for the split. Most gays were against the split. Straights voted, just did not post or speak up.

If you look at the forum of the adult websites, there are always more people "viewing" in the straight porn section.

Now here is where it can get complicated. Gillette hit on this point. That is not to say that there is cross over. There are a lot of bi-men here that appreciate both. But bi-men are considered gay, and will go to both areas where straight men would probably never visit the gay porn sections.

Just an observation based on assumptions. I will admit that this could totally be wrong.
