Are hairy men really that unattractive ?

Women have hair too, you know. We are mammals. I heard that the custom of shaving began in hot regions and is a matter of custom. If you were a Sikh, your religion would forbid you to shave any hair, or to pierce your body. It's all fashion and hygiene.

In cold climates, hair comes in very handy and I for one like it when I find it on a partner and don't like removing mine simply because some convention dictates.
