There is no requirement or even mere suggestion for Hindus to circumcise and the great majority of Hindus believe it to be against Hindu spiritual beliefs.

To add to what jason said, my understanding is that many Hindus believe circumcision to be a mark of Islam and therefore reject the idea of circumcision as being unfaithful (if I may stretch the word) to their religion.

Hindus born in the USA may be circumcised. I work with a Hindu man whose said that when he and his wife were living in Illinois they had a son born there and he was circumcised without their consent. The dr. just took him and did it. They did sue the dr. and won. He told me that for a Hindu to be circumcised is an insult to the gods. Their son will be an outcast in India.

(1) This isn't a universal belief. I'm Hindu and my parents are very religious and. . .
(2) I'm not getting this insult to the gods thing. Wouldn't that mean that any sort of piercing is an insult?
(3) Who the f- is going to see this kid's dick in India?
