Just like women have submissive fantasies leading all the way up to rape in intensity so do in men have dominate fantasies leading all the way up to raping and degrading women in intensity.

The films you were watching were just the representation of the male extreme fantasy counterpart to the female extreme fantasy counterpart.

.

I couldn't AND didn't put it better myself!

i DO have issue with a guy {or girl} actually seeing that woman {or man} as just an object...and that's what the comments often hint at. like because she's a porn star she's less human than your mother or your sister..

It's a film, they're acting, it is a fiction & a fantasy. You're objecting to a character's treatment, not a person. It's like getting upset when Rocky gets clobbered - men just don't get that emotionally involved in fiction.

Possibly women can't help but empathise, & that's the problem. A lot of women weep at movies, & project themselves into the situations. If you can't separate reality & fiction, you should be more choosy.

Men are objectified in exactly the same manner, in the UK a few years ago practically every woman wanted to shag David Beckham - but would insist he kept his mouth shut (Good looking, atheletic, & hung, but sounds stupid).

A cock in a porn film (maybe not gay porn) is just that - who cares about the person behind it when you don't know them, & will never meet. Its the same for the female stars.

If you think men should have an emotional investment in masturbation - you're wrong.

And if women have an emotional relationship with their vibrator, I'm just gonna piss my self laughing!

it upsets me that people are jacking to condomless porn. i'm sensitive that way.

but you're paying porn stars to risk their health and even their lives by having unprotected sex.

it's like paying someone to smoke or play chicken on the road. just because they take the dollar, doesn't absolve you.

yeah, did you actually bother to read the bit where i said it was the COMMENTS that disturb me? course you didn't.

the COMMENTS on the film, not the film.
because, as i already posted, i've seen the expressions i pull on film.

...romantic.. no taste for it.. i think it's silly actually

That's a shame...I kinda like romance. Not the schmaltzy kind. And not that pulling your dick outa your pants and waving it in the air doesn't have its place. But a dinner in a dark restaurant, some light touching during the evening, a soft stolen kiss...these are nice things, I think.

(Just wanted to vent.)

I don't understand men. They are [sometimes] all nicey-nice to their mother or wifey, but oh, my dog -- the porn that they look at. Seems like half the time, the poor girl is bored/suffering/just-acting. It's the suffering ones that really turn my stomach.

And the COMMENTS that men write. They talk about the girl like she's an object, there for the receipt of their almighty cum.

I just don't understand.

Are men even human?
well its porn not men seeming out of toutch but its the fantacy of porn not the explolytacion that is the point for me any ways but i do see women as more than just flesh and bone

Hopefully crackoff got some sleep now as he admitted being 'up 36 hours'. He may regret a bit of his slamming when he gets back.

It's funny, but he says if women and men get emotionally invested in masturbating and develop feelings for their sex toys he will piss himself laughing. Going to need a rubber sheet under him if he reads my next book...

I too think that the porn industry, like many industries, is exploitive of its workers. And if a certain type of a-hole uses exploitative porn to justify their own a-holeness, be they man or woman, it is tragic. That is why I am an erotica writer and not a pornographer. I want some quality control that includes my ethics.

Ah, but women are not necessarily submissive. We are taking over small business in America as well as college campuses.

That doesn't necessarily mean that they are not sexually submissive...it just means that they may be more focused, smarter or do those things better. It is not that I disagree...I just don't think it is an assumption you can make without a little research.

a builder wouldn't be allowed on site without a hard hat.
other industries are regulated when it comes to safety equipment.
but porn stars are pain more to go bareback with multiple partners.

i think it's shocking.

However, the subject has been on my mind for months -- ever since the October 2009 gang rape of a 15 year old girl (at her high school dance). Twenty or more young men watched and/or participated for TWO AND A HALF HOURS. It's a miracle the poor kid survived.

I remember reading that on the net. I am still speechless that that happened to a fifteen year old girl. :frown1:

Do you really think porn had something to do with her being raped? I think that there are some men who are predatorial and sociopathic. How do you screen men for these traits?

I also believe that men and women these days seem desensitized to violence and violent behavior. That could play more into inhumanity more than porn. There are more violence and violent behaviors on TV...movies...video games.

Since I know all too much about the construction industry and safety, men wearing hard hats on the job is the lesser and least expensive of two evils. The other evil being higher workman's compensation and liability insurance premiums that a construction company has to pay. Also, just about all of your big construction companies will have pre-employment drug screens (pee tests) and an on-going random drug testing program as well. Those construction companines only do the drug screens because the insurance companies basically force them to.

So, with that said, you are only going to see condom usage become more prevalent in porn when it finally becomes too expensive to treat porn stars for STD's or AIDS/HIV. Said another way, a "Lindsay Lovelace" or a "Dirk Diggler" is going to have to sue for workman's comp and win big for the whole porn industry to change.

Even then, there is still going to be a large demand for people, mainly guys I am imagining, who are going to want to see it all, skin to skin, bareback action.

The woman who is upset by comments calls me a patronising wanker. Lol - what a dried up old hypocrite.

Take a look though Dolfette's posts & see how many personal comments she has made!! He he. Doesn't care who she upsets, but she is the supreme judge of tastes, & about what the opposite sex should like!

At least half of all UK citizens don't use a condom Dolfette. Ever heard of art imitating reality? You must surely know that pornstars have to have HIV tests to be able to do porn without a condom! Dur! Health & safety.

As for builders & safety- we sent 10,000 British soldiers off to Iraq & Afghanistan without the proper equipment, which caused a lot of casualties, & I also suggest you actually go to a building site to see your heath & safety in action! regulations vary country to country, state to state.

Health & safety regulations are strangling the UK. I thought you'd know that!

And anyone HAS THE CHOICE not to use a condom.

There have been studies done on this where prisoners...err...inmates, still alive and walking, have been taken to hospitals and have had PET scans done of their brains.

Now...don't hold me to this, but if I recall correctly a PET scan will either show which areas of the brain are using oxygen, or glucose, or both.

What researchers have found is that the inmates were very literally wired differently. So, for a while there, there was kind of a quiet movement to then have, let's say, all 11 year olds screened.

There might still be a movement like that working quietly, but, right off the top of my head is what an ethical conundrum that would be.

What do you do with an 11 year old who might turn out to be the next Jeffrey Dahmer or John Wayne Gasey?

And, of course, this smacks ever so slightly of the eugenics movement (Fabian society?) that was around at the turn of the last century.

I agree with this, the desensitizing of violence -- but the porn we are talking about, well, it's available to anyone -- not that it shouldn't be -- I'm not going there, thank you -- but think about it. Young kids are watching it more and more. It's available, it's free and some of it, like on Collegewhores, looks like just average joe's humiliating women. Is it professional? Geesh I don't know, so how will the teens or younger know? Growing up watching women objectified in the media, movies, news, ect, and on the internet, has to do something...it can't not.

And I agree, there are way more violent behaviors on TV and such, but this specific 'fetish' on porn just, well, it makes me uneasy. Everyone has a right to get off, but wow, why is this particular porn so popular? And no, no, no, this is not BDSM, that is a whole 'nuther kink. Please stop grouping this porn with BDSM.

I have read that sociopaths have damaged amygdalas (a structure in the brain) that causes them not to feel empathy for another. Which causes sociopaths not to care about their victims. This split makes it very easy to commit the most horrific of crimes without the slightest of concern whatsoever.

Yes, and the amygdala is believed to be the impaired bit in autistics that interferes with their reading of social cues.

There is such a thing as 'emotional intelligence'. Whether there is more of it in one sex or the other I do not pretend to know. But 'humane' by definition presupposes the ability to empathize.

First of all, I never grouped porn with BDSM. I was only talking about the primal instinct with men (and women)...violence.

I don't know if you can stop the objectification of women though. Unless you want to do away with Disney movies kids watch. Do away with romantic movies and romantic comedies. Do away with Valentine's Day. All that plays into the objectification of women.

I have read this somewhere..."That the best thing and the worst thing about human beings is IMAGINATION."

With imagination, you can build...or you can destroy. You can postulate and fabricate. Good things and bad things can happen all because of IMAGINATION.

Which also leads me to my point. Every person has imagination. There is a reason that porn exists. Even if you control porn...there is someone...somewhere thinking up some new... wild unbridled thing--good and bad. Does it mean that if we stop porn, it will stop men from objectifying women or men? I doubt it.

I remember now. I read that in Daniel Goleman's EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE. Hehehe.
