(Just wanted to vent.)

I don't understand men. They are [sometimes] all nicey-nice to their mother or wifey, but oh, my dog -- the porn that they look at. Seems like half the time, the poor girl is bored/suffering/just-acting. It's the suffering ones that really turn my stomach.

And the COMMENTS that men write. They talk about the girl like she's an object, there for the receipt of their almighty cum.

I just don't understand.

Are men even human?

just avoid the menfolk with questionable taste in porn.

a couple years as counter crew in a porn shop will learn you which men should probably be monitored by the state. *huzzed out shudder*

Some one got burned....

nah... Ms. Punny just spent too much time in the adult website forum.. umm fora... umm quarantine?

"issues with women" should totally be a sub-whatever.

Damnit, Mickey... You must have told all the porn-stars that tidbit, about avoiding the guys with wierd tastes in porn. I can't get any of them actors to work with me. This h as left me without a job for a long while. I've finally caved in, and took a non-technical position in a callcenter, until the studios call me back, with a willing co-star.

i am all good with the weird... in fact.. i like weird

my objection and confusion is kinda focused on porn bordering on violence. and the follow up rational of "she was paid for it"

*rant nipped in the bud*

there was a thread here a while back.. she can't take it and half the men seemed genuinely disappointed that the female performer was on her period and not vaginally torn by her scene partner's penis.

I agree with MickeyLee...men with questionable tastes in porn (porn where the men treat women like an object, women obviously in pain, men acting like they have a god complex in porn etc...) should be steered clear of...imo.

Unfortunately there often is a disconnect. 3-dimensional women you know are 'people'; 1-dimensional women can be sex objects, only. Women we know are (or should be) treated with respect; an object is a non-person. I may be wrong on this; I hope I don't offend. There is the recognized 'Madonna / Whore Complex'.

Bingo!

I made the mistake of looking in the porn section earlier today and was sickened. (I usually steer clear of those forums because I prefer my illusion of men as gentlemen)

However, the subject has been on my mind for months -- ever since the October 2009 gang rape of a 15 year old girl (at her high school dance). Twenty or more young men watched and/or participated for TWO AND A HALF HOURS. It's a miracle the poor kid survived.

True.

But sometimes there is a three-dimensional woman involved.

So are men human? Or are they half-beast?

Why is the idea of a woman "taking it" so *shudder* appealing to so many men?

This is what turns us on. Haven't you heard the saying that men want, "a lady in the streets and a freak in the sheets"?

Why does romantic and passionate sex appeal to women so much? We like what we like.

Women suffer because of that -- bullocks to "We like what we like."

Would YOU step in if you saw a woman in pain, or would you stand there stroking your penis?

Men in tights, perhaps?

Nope those guys have been around since the middle ages.

Sadly, sex is used far too often as a tool for dominance instead of as a means for celebration and connection on deeper emotional levels.

Though it's conceivable that the two could be merged sometimes, that is as rare as a blue-eyed ferret. Loot, rape and pillage are an ancient formula for successful conquest with our species. And that includes nonpleasurable coercive impregnation of females, and males too.

Well it depends on what you're talking about. If you mean that rape, yeah they are suffering and I would try and stop it.

But if we are talking porn, those women are getting paid $1,000+ for a scene. I'd hardly call that suffering. Plus, it's pretty hard to find porn where the woman is genuinely uncomfortable or "suffering" during the scene. Most times they are either into it or obviously faking. Trust me, I'd know because I've been looking for this stuff because my fwb loves it and it is pretty hard to find.

but why the disrespect for the freak?

how does being a sexual adventurous/open freak lead to being devalued as a human being?

that attitude sounds like women should be punished for being a full realized sexual being. that fucking sucks :irked:

romantic.. no taste for it.. i think it's silly actually

Oops... and I thought it started with a movie by Mel Brooks. My bad!

Agreed.

So what PART of "man" is performing/watching/cheering on the deed? Is it a "human" trait, or is it some throw back to some animal gene or something?

Without a public demand for such movies/clips, they wouldn't be made.

I'm talking about the "appetites" that drool over the images, whether said images are real or fake. And the way they TALK about the woman. *shudder*

It isn't just a few men here and there. If the people here on LPSG are an example, it's fairly common.
