No. I think the pressure on men to be masculine, as well as the pressure on women to be feminine, is detrimental to the psyche of both. People should just be who they are and hopefully feel free to explore whatever interests and habits they like whether they are seen as masculine or feminine. That's not to say that everyone should be as androgynous as possible, but much of what we consider to be manly or womanly is just a performance that takes too much effort to keep up.

Although I love the fact that modern men are more open minded when it comes to sexuality and the changing roles of women in society I still love men who embrace their own masculinity. When guys are guys, you know? I don't understand women who are so insecure that they can't allow men to behave like men, to be off with the boys and do things guys like to do. I especially hate when they stifle this growth in their own sons. For some warped reason these women want to build some female hybrid with a penis.

I think with all the strides we've made when it comes to accepting everyone's sexuality and allowing people to be who they are and to love whoever they want there is this attempt by some to attack masculinity as an enemy to this social revolution. Personally I love being around guys who don't hide their masculinity, the fact that they are men and aren't afraid to show it. Perhaps because it makes me feel more feminine? I dunno but I dig the testosterone energy that is about when a group of men are together. Love watching the apes pound their chest or scream at the TV during a football game or compete with all the other guys in the room, insulting each other, or trying to out do one another in attempt to make each other laugh or better still make me laugh. It's like this age old battle for the female, "I think, cool, they're fighting for me, yipee!" Their valor and victory marked by who can hurl the greatest insult at their opponent's face when in ancient times it wasn't an insult but an axe.

Hey, I'll take what I can get. Now come and claim your spoils of war and ravage me brave knight!

Phew! Where the hell was I going with this? Oh yeah, masculinity is a good thing.
