one poster made comment of coyotes-

yea they are getting to be an issue in the east. I know a few people who had their pets taken by them- nasty way to go. saw 2 dogs eviscerated and left for dead by coyotes. Hunting, when done properly, is a very humane and clean death for the animal. I eat what i kill- save for coyote. Meat eaters are not traditionally tasty animals- but you can take the pelts and donate them to your local elks club- they in turn will use the proceeds from the sale of the fur to help wounded war vets. In my opinion, (people included) every animal should have the right to a clean death - i understand hunting doesn't necessarily allow animals to choose when- but over population, mange, rabis, starvation, and the other alternatives to not keeping animal numbers in check are far worse then a quick arrow or gunshot to the lung / heart cavity. I've harvested white tails with a bow where I had a clean shot pass through their lungs and they look around unaware of what happened. They then continued to eat, and laid down to expire. A totally painless death. People should be so lucky.

PETA is no different than any organization. There are reasonable, rational members and the fringe lunatics. Of course the media will focus on the looneys as they make bettre TV.

I do support PETA in some of their causes, but do not agree with the terrorist tactics even if I do disagree with the wearing of fur.

I just saw the HBO documentary and that British lady Ingrid is quite a loon.

The way they pour blood on the furs at a store front and stain the glass windows is terroristic.

They also do not denounce the Animal Liberation Front which used violence and arson to get things done.

I'm sure most PETA people are not, but some are so fanatic that they have gone insane.

This woman who leads it wants to have her skin made into wallets and have her "meat" barbecued.

I don't personally care if people wear fur or not, I choose not to.
I think animals are important in science for testing.
I think we have the right use animals for food and they should accept that.

I respect their love of animals, but I think they take it too far.

Their tactics remind me of the things that Scientologists do to intimidate people.

(and yes I did use the search feature and did not find any similar posts)

I do not have disrespect for their cause even though I personally don't agree with everything. It's the fanatics and people who get violent with others in the name of a "cause" that I have a real issue with.
