In major metropolitan areas especially near transit centers does anyone else feel that the homeless are an asset deployed as spies, spotters, or stool pigeons? Is it that law enforcement finds being decoyed as the homeless affords them the best opportunity to observe, detect, report without being detected?

So...major metropolitan areas spending billions on making it as uncomfortable as possible for homeless people to exist in public place...smoke and mirrors?

To distract the general public from the clandestine activity all around them?

I think that plot has been used in a number of Hollywood scenes. I spose there is a certain percentage of a population who prefer to not see the homeless.

I don't get your film reference, either. How does it relate to this thread?

The opening scene to Miss Congeniality, starring Sandra Bullock, is a team of FBI Agents posing as homeless people haunting an Italian restaurant. They’re in a sting operation to catch a mafia stereotype dealing illegal floppy disks.

I will watch Miss Congeniality again. Do you disagree that it seems as if some of the homeless "watch" for law enforcement, and "report" to them at major transit hubs? It's cool if you've never experienced it.

I wouldn’t know really. But I suppose anything is possible. I’d say its just as likely either way. There’s probably some cop somewhere who’s struck a deal with someone desperate.

If any one of us wished to find out at any time what it was like to be homeless we could.

How about we conduct an experiment?

I wear just about rags to work now..........the only thing which gives away i am not, is my boots, and my wallet in top pocket. I go a couple of weeks without shaving because I don't feel like shaving.

Well, I'd be a sexy homeless guy :)

If I put on a pair of worn out sneakers, pushed a trolley. Any one of us are a heartbeat away of bottom.

If the internet disappeared tomorrow.....Zuckenberg, Amazon...millions of investors...and every tech company would be worthless. It depends on 1 thing, 1 thing only.........the internet. That is not including all those who would become depressed overnight from being cut off.......................human error blamed for facebook, social media outage. Haaaahahahaha. Love it.

Most other businesses depend on several streams, tributaries.
