I'm also cut. I had it done at around age 7 because I was suffering with constant urinary tract infections. Whether this was because of tightness or not, I don't know, but I haven't had a single problem since. It was like a miracle.

I've seen in porn that some guys have very tight foreskins, and (when hard) the glans is reduced to the same thickness as the entire shaft. Looks quite uncomfortable. I have a nicely sized glans which I wouldn't change so maybe that's why I had problems as a kid. Maybe I was destined to be cut.

Funnily enough, 3 of my closest guys friends over the years are also without their foreskins. I befriended the first because his pants were pulled down in school and everybody found out. I wanted to talk to him about the whole issue, as we did which was great.

Feel free to message if you guys want to talk. Would be great to hear about other guys' experiences.

When I would go to England as a teenager and in my early twenties, my impression was that there were far more circumcised men in Britain than in France. Now I don't go so often, and communal showers have become less common, but the impression I have now is that it's about the same percentage on both sides of the Channel.

Like everywhere else, it's very regional. London (obviously) has a far higher percentage of circumcised guys, due to the large resident ethnic populations and the high number of passing tourists or temporary workers spending time in the city whilst travelling, who originate from circumcising countries or cultures.

Outside of London the figure is much lower, other than in cities with larger ethnic groups such as Birmingham or the Greater Manchester area. However, I have noticed that there do seem to be some areas where there seems to be a larger number of white British adults of all ages that have been circumcised - the southern Home Counties area (which is probably explainable as being, historically, a traditional upper middle class area, due to its easy commuting into London), the Bolton/Blackburn/Bury area, Newport in South Wales and the Merseyside area. I've no idea why the latter three should be so but status self-declaration on several websites seems to produce a greater prevelance of circumcisions in those areas, IME.

I was cut at 5 months by an incompetent doctor, he said it would cure rheumatic fever! Balls up by my frenulum until I stretched scrotum back. Now so insensitive I don't orgasm in intercourse. If you want to cut yourself when adult, go ahead, but don't bring back cutting of babies.

I suppose *elsewhere* includes France, and I have similar impressions about regional variation here too.

Like London, Paris has a very mixed population, so you are likely to see a couple of circumcised men amongst the many intact under the few remaining public showers. In other parts of France it's very uncommon. I played waterpolo in Eastern France for a couple of years and hardly ever noticed anyone circumcised. On the other hand, every time I've been in Lyon for swim meets I have noticed as many circumcised men as in Paris.

In Montreal, you don't see cut muslims in showers because they shower with theor underwear on. OK, so you know they are cut, especially since showering with underwear on actually brings more attention to the genitals than if the guy was naked.

Jewish and muslims are less interesting because there is basically no story behind their circumcision. But for white males who are cut in an overlmigly uncut country, one can easily get curious on why they are cut, if done medically or socially, at what age, what social status etc.
