I'd like to also add that there is no wonder men give up on women, with an attitude like the one who wrote that list, it's enough to make you turn gay. I fear that women who secretly do covet that sort of behavior are horribly torturing the men they are with, with passive aggressive expectations, or they are picking men who will offer them a bunch of "looks good on the surface" affection and words to tide them over while they are really being treated horribly by that guy.

Criminals who have no shortage of women to put up with their crap often find women who need this kind of reassurance so they can easily fit a template with the proper, seemingly, proper behavior in order to make them happy. All whilst they are getting away with being a ne'er to well, disrepsectful, womanizing, illegal activities, child abuse, etc. You name it.

Well, it's not a list of demands to live by for men. Maybe it could be in terms of the author. Maybe she expects those things. The OP just posted and asked. I copied the list and made comments based on my experiences/wants in a relationship, I'm not demanding that I have them nor do I expect them every day. I think some of them are sweet gestures that both parties could do for each other.

I don't think it's a bad thing to be loved or want to be loved and I think this is what the author was getting at.

I agree with you Embrace Of course! I think the amount of love you share with your partner and the little things that happen each day are what makes a relantionship beautiful. I think in her case it would have been better if she would have said those are the things that she wants and desires. I think her writing it any way besides first person was a mistake. Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and feelings.

Sometimes people become jaded to the little things in life that can be so very special. Some of the list I really liked and could understand and some of the list I found obsessive. That is what makes us all individuals. I think she was possibly very young when she wrote this, but who knows. I did not read anything else she had written just this list. I tried to apply every sentence to myself and answer based on the type of woman that I am.

I lost interest about halfway through reading. Here's my personal condensed version:

5 things Ethyl wants and will ask for if she's not getting it:

1. SexSexSex.

2. Kindness.

3. Plenty of brains to know when to ask for/express either at the right place/time.

4. The maturity to understand that you know less than you think you do.

5. Enough humour to laugh at yourself when you realize you've slipped at any of the above.

FWIW, this also works for men who are horribly pussywhipped to the point that they would be utterly useless for any other woman if the girl who turned them into what they are now were to leave him for a real man.

It seems like the kind of girl/woman that would need this kind of attention is entirely dependent upon the external validation coming from her SO, and who defines herself by how well behaved her puppy (i mean boyfriend) is. How exhausting would it be to date a girl that constantly got pissy and sullen because you weren't kissing her or on her nuts 5 minutes ago?

W00t! I found gold over here. ;> That onerous 60 question list is just rabble and piffle that may work for that ONE individual. But those things IF THEY ARE WHAT YOU WANT - will come if you just remember the easy 5 above.

People are just people. Imagine and then implement the simple "golden rule" of how to treat others how you would like to be treated in turn. If things are not right down the road, well - you''l part ways hopefully just as amiably the first time you met.
