I don't suppose there are many of us who are shoplifters, murderers, organized crime lords, but how many of us buy tobacco that's been smuggled into the country, smoke weed in an area where it's illegal, buy something that's fallen off the back of a lorry.

    What are your limits?

I buy cigarettes from a guy in the pub who smuggles them into the country (I'm not quite sure how he does this as you can bring as much as you want into the country for personal consumption, maybe he just blags he's the world's heaviest smoker) in the past I've bought things that have fallen off the back off a lorry (a guy worked in a warehouse for a large superstore and things would disappear) but I knew some dodgy people and I was occasionally offered things that had been stolen from houses, I never bought those and I don't really know how anyone could, those things they're saving money on represent some else's misery.

I also download songs and films, that's a criminal act but I don't view it as such because I wouldn't buy the films or songs so I don't feel I'm depriving the artist of cash he would have had.

The only laws I break nowadays are the speed limits. Many moons ago I spent several years growing magic mushrooms on an industrial scale. Didn't get caught, but really for all the hard work and paranoia, it wasn't worth it. I came to the correct conclusion that I could make more money legally.

I've been kicked out of school for pot, but i didnt get it on my record since i was so young and i didnt have much on me. I was young and stupid!

I'm guilty of smoking weed every now and again, like as often as leap year. I do smoke a little, but no smuggled tobacco.

I've been known to download songs from Napster back when it was free and record VHS tapes and DVD's.

There was also this time when i had a fake ID, several of them so i could get into bars at 18.

there's a special place in hell for people like us!

Certainly no more criminal than the greed and petty vindictiveness of the large music and movie distributors IMHO. Morally speaking of course.

Oh they had to, had they

One could argue that to be a bona fide criminal I would have to have been convicted of something... (although one could be bending the definition of 'criminal' slightly by arguing like that...)

well, with downloading songs, if i download more than 5 or so songs from a particular album from an artist i've grown to like, i will buy the album later. i can't say the same for a movie soundtrack like Moulin Rouge! or Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd though.

otherwise, i'm pretty much a lamb when it comes to doing anything illegal.

    yay! 700th post for me!

I stole the drivers' ed car in high school and took it for an afternoon spin with my friends.

I'm a notorious speed demon although i've lightened the lead in my foot this last year.

I've had anal sex. That's still illegal in some states, right?

I've taken the tags off my mattress.

I swiped a package of cheese and crackers from the grocery store when I was six. My mother discovered the empty wrapper, my full mouth, and dragged my ass all the way back to the store, wrapper in hand. She made me admit my misdemeanour and apologise. I never stole anything when I was with my mother after that. :biggrin1:

Now I have to kill you all for knowing my dark secrets.
