I would say i am a girly girl and do have some female friends but most of my friends are probably male. It has been that way since childhood. I think that women should support one another when they can.

offline i only have female friends, just because they don't hold an aspiration to shag me one day.
I'm friends with more women IRL because the majority are not trying to get in my pants. Ironically, enough, I'm close friends with guys who've tried to get in my knickers, and still occasionally try (have to do a Dolfette on them to keep them in line).

pft! what do you think we talk about?
i know what size they like, when they last got and their best position.
And whether they spit or swallow?

I like anyone regardless of gender who is smart and interesting.
Ditto.

I was pondering this earlier... having noticed several times some women on this forum seem very anti-women.

Do you get on with other women or are most of your best friendships with men?

I've always thought I was a girls girl, as I have some fabulous and very close female friends. I like to think that whenever possible I will stick up for womens rights (although not a full on bra burning feminist).

There are times when I feel really shocked at some womens attempts to belittle other women, often simply to make themselves feel better. I notice it here quite often.. and can only assume that it's about getting rid of "competition".

So are you a girls girl?

By the way, I don't feel as though I've been belittled by other women... not on purpose anyway. So this isn't a retaliatory thread... just something I've been wondering about.

I soooooooo agree with you. It's like some women on the forum loathe other women. Which is totally wrong to me. I'm definitely a girl's girl, I have tons of female friends and I get along really well with the girls in my family.

I stay away from the type of women who don't like other women (even when they've done nothing wrong). I honestly don't get women who are like that and I've already 'met' some women on this forum who seem a lot like that.

And in my opinion, women who are like that aren't a guy's girl, they're just plain antisocial, bitchy and probably can't keep a friendship let alone a relationship.

It's true...if you can't get along with your own kind, who will you get along with? Kudos to guys who judge a girl by the number of girl friends she's got.

Well I replied earlier saying I was a "boy's girl", but I want to write in a bit more detail.

I just tend to have/have had male friends/aquaintances and I've had boyfriends even though I'm bi... so I'm just not used to hanging out with/talking to/dating or whatever girls. I'm a tomboy anyway, so I feel that might be why I get on with guys. I don't dislike women, I would have no problem being with girls if I got the chance, but I just don't really. Last time I had female friends was when I was at school (although I had a g/f at age 15 but since then only kissed a girl maybe once or twice, last time being 2007 I think). Although, as a tomboy, I think I would get on better with more of a tomboy than a really "girly" girl.

However, my boyfriend says he gets on better with women. So we're similiar in that we get on with the opposite gender. It can be hard as we can get jealous too, and we're both bi (we're so alike even though we can also be different). He likes tomboys though, like I do.

Really though, it's about the person, not the gender.
