I'm planning to be within 2-3 years but I want to know LPSG members are you?

If so what fraternity/sorority are you a brother or sister of?

I was when I was in school, and I wouldn't change it. I had some of the best experiences of my life at the time with my brothers.

If you wait like your OP mentions, though, you might feel out of place. Most fraternity pledges are 17-19 years old...looking back, I can tell you there's an ocean's difference of maturity between someone who's 18 and someone who's 24.

Thing is I'm at a community college right now. I'm waiting to transfer to a four-year before I pledge.

I couldn't recommend it more. I got my first two jobs via connections with fraternity brothers - and 15 years after college many still remain some of my best friends.

In fact, I still frequently connect with a lot of those guys when I travel to a city that they live in.

But it enhances the college experience 5-fold, without question.

In terms of which fraternity....chapters within the same fraternity vary greatly from campus to campus. If you go to the rush functions, you'll get a good feel for the type of guys belonging to each

OF course, thus the "Smooth" title. We shall see... if you truly fit the red and white...

i'm still in college but the greek life never caught my interest. if you know me outside of LPSG you'd know i'm the complete opposite of the average sorority stereotype. plus i'd much rather spend my money on more important things than "networking."

It always struck me as buying your friends. Every single frat guy I met was dumber and shallower than the non-frat guys I knew, so it wasn't appealing. Obviously that's only my experience and I have no reason to think that all frats are like that, but since that was what was available at my school, I never joined a frat.

However, I crashed plenty of their parties and drank their beer.

It's not a social frat, but is anybody else out there a fellow member of Phi Mu Alpha?

(Apologies for veering off topic in this thread.)

Never did join one. I'm a bit of a loner/individualist, plus every frat house I ever toured during pledge week reeked horribly of urine, vomit, and stale beer. Since most were charging well over $200 a month for a single room in the house, I figured I could spend my money more wisely. Sadly, after I got done spilling beer, puking, and pissing all over my apartment, it smelled just like a frat house.
