I guess with the availability of online porn it was sooner or later bound to become an epidemic, but I rank myslef alongside millions of other men who now consider themselves to be "porn addicts"...
Do you feel like a porn addict and if so can we break the cycle?
whenever i look at adult stuff it's mainly just out of curiosity. 99% is stuff i dont want to see anyway. so i'm not really into it or addicted. its hard just to park yourself in front of the comp at my house for many, many reasons. but there have been sometimes where maybe everyone was gone, and i stayed on the net a lot. but then you just step outside and see the sun and blue sky and you think 'wow, this is so much better'. Or you just go out to the beach (5 mins., here) and see real people again, some nice girl talks to you, and you think 'wow, life is too short to be stuck inside looking at a computer screen with sore eyes.'
to get back to your question -- i've heard that every thing that is bad for you is addictive, and everything that is good for you is usually hard work. For example, working out and going to the gym is a pain for a lot of people, or playing sports (practices, 2-a-days, etc.), is hard work. But stuff that is bad for you (too much TV, sugar, fat, even stuff like gossip or putting other people down, being lazy) is EASY to do, and it's EASY to get addicted to it.
so if you get addicted to online stuff (which is probably easy), just expect that it could be just as hard to kick that addiction as any other serious addiction, like drugs even. for some people it might be hard to break, but it can be done, just like any other addiction can be broken.
