    If so what?

I'm having a Tuna Salad sandwich for lunch and I bought some frozen Salmon to bake for dinner.

When I lived near my parents they always made breaded fried grouper and it was amazingly delicious.

I was raised Catholic, but I left the Church a few years ago. I still observe the no meat on Fridays during Lent policy (for the most part). I'm planning on having tuna for lunch and salmon for dinner. (I never eat breakfast.)

I`m baking some beans, I soaked them in water over night, and my mum is frying hack..
That`s kinda traditional for Serbia on Good Friday.

Scallops for dinner tonight done in a light buffalo wing sauce, served on rice.

Good Friday is a strict fast day for Orthodox Catholics no meat and no dairy. In fact the entire Holy
Week from Palm Sunday till Easter is a no meat fast.

My school district always served fish on Fridays, even though it was a secular, county-run public school.

When I asked my parents about it, they said it was just easier to accommodate the Catholic students in this way. But Dad emphasized that he was surprised when he came to the US, because Spain has always been specifically exempted from the abstinence of meatless Fridays. Papal dispensation was granted to the Spanish for their unwavering commitment to and sacrifices in the Crusades, so from that point forward they never had to observe this particular abstinence. TBH I don't really know whether the rule/exception is different for Good Friday in particular.

Bread and shellfish aren't exactly the most Pesach friendly ingredients. :biggrin1:

I was a good boy and did FoF all Lent! I even went to Confession yesterday (Holy Thursday)...I gave the Priest a legal pad and told him to get comfortable. Just trying to buy points ahead of 2012.

Simply baked Sea Bass with rock salt. lemon and lemon grass. Yummy it was, thick home cooked chips (fries if you must) and homemade tartare sauce with a petit pois and courgette medley on the side, washed down with a lovely sancerre. Fasting is so much fun.
