I'm wondering more and more about "gray ace" identity. I always thought of an asexual person as not experiencing any desire at all, which is not the case with me, but what I have realized is that I can be conceptually aroused by some things in the abstract, either watching them, reading/writing about them or just thinking about them, but there not things I'd want to do personally. Wondering if any other ace-identifying people feel similarly.

Physically, I get aroused by pretty much anything. I say aroused, but it's more just a reaction to anything sex-related. Mentally and emotionally, not really. I look at porn when I masturbate because a lot of times I can't focus on the action and need something to keep me physically invested in finishing. Though 90% of the time I masturbate to keep erections. When I was younger I did things I thought aroused me and realized I wasn't really into it. It all depends. Sometimes I get disgusted by even the thought of sex and just wsnt to throw up. It normally lasts 1 week to 1 month. I guess to actually answer your question, my body is curious and wants to understand what I see, but mentally it's pretty meaningless
