K8 and I had a great time hanging out with _avg_ down in Tempe last October. It was a good time. We were sad that Plug-it-in wasn't able to make it.

Friday nights or Saturdays work for me - but I only get everyother Saturday so hope it is one of my weekends off. I think the NYC group usually plans about 5-6 weeks out from the start of the planning What about 6/27 for every one?

I promise to wear cleavage, sexy shoes, and tell stories :boobies:

Honey123, I work every other Saturday as well.... And unfortunately 6/27 is one of my Saturdays I believe...

I couldn't do it then either. I'm flying back home to hang out with family for the Fourth of July. Getting back around the 7th. So, I could do a meet-up if we arrange it fairly quickly (just not Memorial Day weekend) or if we put it off for about four weeks.

That's not fair!

It's everyone else's turn to come visit!

24 weeks in 2 years is slightly too much time in the US - they may not let me in again!

 Hey! I'm making plans as we speak! :biggrin1:

And besides, our doors are always open for you!

LOL, I'm on vacation here the last week of May, so no-go then for me...

I think I am going to plan a for a Friday evening. If nobody shows up, then fine, I dine alone (nothing new there). If people show up, all the better!

Trying to get it possible for everyone is gonna be hard! But, I will say sometime mid-month June.

Ok everybody, how about instead of just saying you can't make the only day mentioned so far that you propose an alternate date? Nothing is set at this point so if you offer other choices, the better prospect that more people will be able to attend.

Also, it looks like there are more than a few Tucson people. Maybe you could ride up together? It may also be a consideration that we hold this on the south end of town, like at the Wild Horse Pass Casino, making it more convenient for Tucson folks or even for all of us, to find?

Looks like the weeks you work are the weekends I'm free (aka: son at dad's) but, I can go any Friday night... and for this, I would get a babysitter if my son was with me on the weekend selected.

I also propose Tempe or Chandler near I-10 or Awatukee so that the guys in Tuscon don't have to drive all the way up to the middle of town.

6/19 or 6/20 (I'll get a babysitter if it is the 20th)
7/11 works for me too
7/18 might work better for Plug-it-in

Here are a few ideas from an ex-Zonie who lived in the Phoenix area in the late '70s and '80s. Tubing down the Salt River is a great time if you want to consider something adventurous. Salt River Recreation makes it easy. As far as restaurants, Carlos O'Brien's at 12th Street and Northern is still my favorite place to go when I go back to AZ to visit. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the food is great.
