It has nothing to do with either.

But I suppose we can twist things to fit an agenda either way.
But then the reasoning is twisted and doesn't really apply.

There are over 300 million people in the United States.
It must be easy to find a crazy person on any given day to fill up the news.

So if you have crazy people, try not giving them guns, that way you will have one less crazy person running around with a gun.You have two kinds of crazy, you have mad people and you have people who have been whopped with the stupid stick until blood is coming out of their ears.
