You might not, but Armie Hammer doesn’t exactly scream innocence or stupidity. To some extent, he must’ve known what sort of misconceptions that post would make. And he’s a public figure, I honestly doubt he’s naive enough to not see the misfire it would make had it been perfectly innocent.

I guess this new controversy will put to light how innocent those pictures really were.

His name just makes me think Arm and Hammer

It's actually really weird. His grandfather was Armand Hammer who ran Occidental Petroleum in the late '50s and eventually bought substantial stock in Church & Dwight which manufactured Arm and Hammer products. Since he seemed to be so connected with the company people have often assumed the company took the name from his but it had actually been called Arm and Hammer for over 30 years before he gained any interest in it. Armie's name is actually Armand Douglas Hammer.

I'm not buying any of this. First of all the news site looks sketchy at best and then the time/date stamps on the screen shots are off. At the top is clearly dated April of 2017 but at the bottom left in grey lettering, there is another timestamp in Russian for January 2020. Something is very off.
