I made no such assumption, was replying to your silliness with some of my own. It was obviously not serious ("2.5 children").

Get off your soap box long enough to think before you insult other people and they will be more willing to listen to you.
In other words, you had nothing.

Again, sounds good to me, but as for your last point, the process for a white guy to obtain ID is the same for a black or Hispanic man. There are no extra hoops.
A simple Google search shows that DMVs in predominantly black areas were closed down making it more difficult to obtain ID. Do you automatically assume that everyone can afford to take a day off and travel miles and then pay to obtain the necessary ID? Not every employer is as generous as Max (sarcasm).

If the intention is to prevent fraud then why didn't those in favor of closing those DMVs work to insure those who wanted IDSs get those IDs instead of making it harder?

And I don't want them to be 'cause that's how I hire and keep the best folks to work with. Not sure where you see sarcasm in that, it's a business strategy and it's also the right thing to do.

You figured it out. The line at the DMV is a plot by evil whitey to keep the black man down! I can tell you the line at the Nevada DMV was much shorter before they started handing out driver authorization cards to the God damn illegal invaders.

My sarcasm is in that while you may be fair when it comes to things not all employers are. Does anyone really think every employer will still pay an employee to take the day off to travel to a DMV to obtain ID or vote?

Yet people, even BLACK people, line up every day at the DMV. How do they manage? Where are these significant number of people with no ID? No one can seem to find them.

I don't pay people to go to the DMV. To become an employee in the first place, a photo ID is required. And I don't get paid when I'm out of the office to go vote, but I do anyway. I do give my colleagues time to vote, my personal preference to try to encourage voting period.

May I ask, how long do you wait to have to vote? Take a look at some of the pictures of polling places. Some people had to wait hours. If you have an employer that doesn't give you time off then the choice is whether to vote or get a day's pay.
Also consider that in areas known to vote predominantly for Democrats polling places were either removed or had their hours limited.

Typically college students (many of whom do not own a car), the very poor (many of whom do not own a car), and the elderly/infirm (many of whom do not own a car).

Getting a state issued ID card costs time + about 5-15 bucks if you have a copy of your birth certificate. If you need to order a copy of your birth cert, it's more like time + $100 to $200. The birth certificates tend to be the real problem.

We live in Texas. We have tons of early voting and it's less than an hour in person if you go during the early voting period (if you go on election day it will be longer, but that's the cost of putting it off till election day)

Asbentee ballots are also available for anyone who wants them (90 seconds to fill out online form) and that requires no wait in line.

Other states I know the times vary. Getting the ID card is more effort here than the actual voting.

Did you take into account that early voting time was reduced in a lot of areas?

Usually not more than a half hour or so, I generally vote early to avoid the Christmas rush. The lines for the primary in 2016 were quite a bit longer; a few hours.

I suppose if it's important to me, I'd wait as long as it took. But early voting in Texas makes this a non-issue for the most part.

What is normal for one isn't normal for all. A lot of photos, as well as what I witnessed personally, had people in line for hours.

College students with no photo ID? I dunno... And if they have no ID, they have no bank account, no job, no financial aid?

Yes, in 2016 hours as well but only because I didn't plan ahead and vote early like I usually do.
