My intention was to collect pictures that featured a nude male with an erect penis. The penis did not have to be large. Many images in LPSG show erect penises, but most are there just to show the size. I consider an 'erotic' picture is one that conveys some of the feeling and emotion behind the erection. All of us with a penis recognise that 'ache' when your cock swells to a prodigious degree and the urge to touch it our put it somewhere is irresistible. Sometimes an image conveys that intense excitement. If there are two people in the picture then the excitement of the partner who is observing or experiencing the penis can intensify the erotic effect.
As for what makes it 'artistic' how about this definition:
'performed, made, or arranged decoratively and tastefully; aesthetically pleasing'.
This means that the composition of the picture is important. Skillful lighting can suggest mood, and black and white sometimes does this best.
As some have said, 'artistic' means different things to different people.

it's kind of like a brain surgeon shopping for the tools of his trade at the Home Depot.

I don't know why but this made me LOL!

I also agree that B&W does NOT equal artistic. Even good photography doesn't mean artistic if the composition is lame. The examples shown, by the way are heavily Photoshopped. If you consider that art, like digital art then more power to you but true art, as mentioned should have something creative about it. It should evoke some kind of emotion. I know art is highly subjective but a Photoshopped penis on a buff guy and then desaturated isn't artistic to me.

That being said Ryan8 does have a great gallery!

But some of the photoshopping around here is incredibly creative...

Hello MsSeaside:smile:

I must say if that is your idea of artistic then you certainly have good taste indeed;)

And since we are on topic, I recall either petite or subgirrl posting some rather erotic looking B&W photographs on here sometime ago, do you or anyone else remember them?
