Artistic nudes

I wasn't sure where to post this, so mods feel free to move if necessary.

So I've been working on some artistic nude self-portraits for quite a while now but I'm not sure what to do with them. They're not just dick shots, so I don't think they're really appropriate for here, but they're also not something I can just post on my facebook either. I want/need feedback but not sure how to get it. Honestly I'd like to show some to my friends who are photographers and artists but I'm concerned that might be inappropriate or at least perceived that way.

I've put some on deviant art and livejournal before and people just download them but never say anything. I'm on model mayhem, maybe I should put them there? Any ideas, suggestions or experiences from anyone?

You have some good ideas already. Why not start your own site for posting artistic nudes (not a porn site). Allow users to upload their own artistic nudes and comment.

Thanks, Persia, that's a very interesting idea, I'm going to think about that.

And thanks too Boxerboy, that's very kind of you. I might post outtakes here, I'm not sure, but I'm hesitant to post more than that because the shots aren't erotic, they're not always necessarily flattering, and my face is visible in them. I've posted pics here before with my face, but that was several years ago when there were a lot fewer people.

I'm not sure this site has to only feature erotic or flattering pics. Some of my favorite pic posters have been artistic. Fuzz out your face if you need privacy, but please do post some artistic nudes...we need some culture here. :biggrin1:

We do need it badly indeed .

Shame that the more artistic pictures aren't that successful. I saw loads of them without any comment at all. Most of the times they aren't explicit enough for lpsg, tough audience on here :biggrin1:

Post away: You'll probably get your most interested audience right here.

FWIW, none of mine were self-consciously "artistic", though several have since been labeled such. It's always your audience, never yourself, who's allowed to judge what's what: here or anywhere else. You can do far worse than LPSG. Trust me.

monstro, I can't see you pics on deviantART to be able to comment. :frown1:

Why don't you create a private album on this site, so only your friends can view the photos? That way you get to choose the audience.
