    Country + PC = LOL

More interesting is the thread title: I read it, it was scary fun. Will it suck?

So long as he doesn't start ritual denunciations in front of foreign audiences he's probably safe enough.

Me too! When I was growing up, my dad only listened to two kinds of music, ranchera and country. Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson were all familiar to me then, and I still like them! I hope 'ol Merle has mellowed in his assesment of us lefties!

So old Merle is selling out is he? What happened to the good Merle Haggard who had standards and stood for something? I wonder how he plans to merge his thoughts from Fightin' Side Of Me with old Hillary--

Fightin' Side Of Me: Merle Haggard.

    I hear people talkin' bad,
About the way we have to live here in this country,
Harpin' on the wars we fight,
An' gripin' 'bout the way things oughta be.
An' I don't mind 'em switchin' sides,
An' standin' up for things they believe in.
When they're runnin' down my country, man,
They're walkin' on the fightin' side of me.
Yeah, walkin' on the fightin' side of me.
Runnin' down the way of life,
Our fightin' men have fought and died to keep.
If you don't love it, leave it:
Let this song I'm singin' be a warnin'.
If you're runnin' down my country, hoss,
You're walkin' on the fightin' side of me.

I read about some squirrely guy,
Who claims, he just don't believe in fightin'.
An' I wonder just how long,
The rest of us can count on bein' free.
They love our milk an' honey,
But they preach about some other way of livin'.

If you're runnin' down my country, man,
You're walkin' on the fightin' side of me.

Yeah, walkin' on the fightin' side of me.
Runnin' down the way of life,
Our fightin' men have fought and died to keep.
If you don't love it, leave it:

Now seeing as how Hillary is always flapping her gums about how the Iraq deal is all wrong and how the U.S. is gone bad etc., etc. this should prove to be quite interesting--

Guess he also forgot his Okie from Muskogee where he blasted draft dodgers (like Hillary's husband Bill)--

Well, I guess in order to turn a profit anything is okay, after all why have any values or maintain any shred of self.

Sad to see Merle become part of the machine--
