I work with lots and lots of doctors. Trust me when I tell you, they have seen and heard everything. You are not going to shock them. Or freak them out. They are there to help you with this stuff. If you are shy about making the appointment, just tell them it is for personal reasons. When the nurse does your vitals and asks why you are there, tell her you would like to talk to the doctor alone. No one will judge. No one will think it odd. Just be polite and matter of fact.
True story. Back when Viagra first came out, we got a lot of calls from men wanting to try it. Doctors often gave samples but sometimes forgot to chart that they had. One guy made such a freaking big deal about being secretive of what he wanted a prescription for. Three days and many many phone calls later he finally 'fessed up. He had gotten a sample of Viagra and it worked well for him. Can he please get a regular prescription. This dude was so ridiculous, that years later I can tell you his name. If he had just said what he wanted, he would have been just one of hundreds such calls I have taken.
We only remember you, or think about your visit if YOU make a big deal out of it.
