What basically kept me from going to get my penis checked by a doctor is embarassement to talk to another stranger male about my penis and shortly afterward pull my pants down to show him my genitals... I 'm afraid I could have some major disease of the skin of my penis but still can't gather the courage to go to a doctor... can anyone relate? I m really desperate

I work with lots and lots of doctors. Trust me when I tell you, they have seen and heard everything. You are not going to shock them. Or freak them out. They are there to help you with this stuff. If you are shy about making the appointment, just tell them it is for personal reasons. When the nurse does your vitals and asks why you are there, tell her you would like to talk to the doctor alone. No one will judge. No one will think it odd. Just be polite and matter of fact.

True story. Back when Viagra first came out, we got a lot of calls from men wanting to try it. Doctors often gave samples but sometimes forgot to chart that they had. One guy made such a freaking big deal about being secretive of what he wanted a prescription for. Three days and many many phone calls later he finally 'fessed up. He had gotten a sample of Viagra and it worked well for him. Can he please get a regular prescription. This dude was so ridiculous, that years later I can tell you his name. If he had just said what he wanted, he would have been just one of hundreds such calls I have taken.

We only remember you, or think about your visit if YOU make a big deal out of it.

Hey Proudshower -just imagine if you have something serious - it is probably not but just imagine if you go today and get it treated it will be fine if you leave it till next week they have to cut your cock off - now how much does embarrassment matter . We all have situations we are unsure of or dont like but deal with them and more often than not - it turns out as no big deal,
Your doctor has seen and touch cocks of all shapes and sizes - and with various diseases - yours may just be a skin rash and nothing to worry about but either way the sooner you go and get it checked the sooner you can relax. good luck

Would you feel less embarrassed to talk to a doctor about your concerns when you've waited too long to get checked out and your penis is about to fall off?

Just go to the doctor. If you're too scared to say what's wrong, write it on a piece of paper and hand it to the nurse/doctor.

Lol, the irony of it, a guy with a profile name like that and he's scared to show it to a medical professional who would be completely used to examining peoples' genitalia!

Or does your name mean you have a really great bathroom?

isn't it actually ironic? you got it right , I' m easily the most shy person on earth when it comes to serious stuff... I'm like a trembling bunny in situations like this and that's the very shame I know... still I haven't found the fucking courage to talk to a doctor let alone my gp... Weirdly enough my gf knows I have got these conditions on my penis but I omitted I had casual sex with a stranger (this is understandable I think...). She talked with her gp 'cause she is probably more concerned than me about the issue.. Also I feel guilty should I have passed her some disease and we all know hpv can lead to cervical cancer... Bottom line, I feel so down and confused .. Fear can paralyze you..

If you genuinely care about your partner get your arse to the doctors and stop looking for reassurance here, for her sake if not for yours.

What will you do if you don't get the answers you want here, wait for it to drop off? The only people qualified to deal with this are Doctors who are WELL used to dealing with people in your condition.
