Im wondering if you think there is a double standard regarding "black" specific music actor / academy awards, TV networks, etc..... do you think that if one wants to be seen for their societal contributions and character, and not the color of their skin, the need to separate themselves in this way only shows their unwillingness to do so?

No one said it per se, it's a pretty widely accepted statistic that over 90% of black children are born out of wedlock in this country (US). I guess me bringing it up is being racist, but staying quiet about it surely doesn't change anything for the better.
My point was with a number that staggeringly high, obviously those people who are teaching their children that oral sex makes one a whore at least are somewhat aware of this 'problem' regarding children born out of wedlock, and I was wondering how they'd explain that.
I put 'problem' in quotes because there are many left-leaning political advocates who see this as a good thing, children being born out of wedlock breaks the family structure, making the state the new 'family' so to speak, making it easier for an eventual move to socialism.

Dude, you are so right. That increases the democrat voting base, and gets them in power, AT THE PEPLES EXPENSE. Its sad. Then we can all be bankrupt like europe with their out of control costs that involve their 6 months paid vacation and family leave, benefits, retirement...all to the detriments of their personal freedoms, not wanting to be involved in their own lives and make their own decisions. Creating a society of people who think Govt should be "doing" for them, when in fact, it is the government which should make it so people can do for themselves.

like it or not, underrepresentation in mainstream media has created the need for certain groups to establish programs, networks, and various media outlets where they can be represented....

I think you're reading too much into it Biggin'. Black television does not exist because of some anti-white conspiracy. It exists to make money just like television stations geared towards women, hispanics, gays, etc. It's a great way for advertisers to focus their content to a certain demographic greatly increasing the chance that the viewer will buy whatever crap they are selling.

im not saying it was created by AA's because of anti-white conspiracy, im saying it tells their kids that they are different than everyone else, rather than telling them to participate with everyone else. The world will be one color one day. its inevitable. and the only people who stand to loose their jobs because of that are the people who try to separate things like that based on race.
It's really too bad I agree with you completely here. It seems this push for 'tolerance' is anything but tolerant. IMO it's aim is to get us all to focus on our differences, which are small, instead of focusing on our similarities, which are great. Now this country is balkanized. Divide and conquer.
The poor black man and poor white man need to realize they have much more in common with each other, racial differences aside, than they do with the rich man of any race. We never did realize this though, so they have won.
Instead of coming together you have race baiters likes Sharpton, Jackson, etc. crying racism every time someone tries to open a dialogue. If we were really serious about coming together, we need to communicate between each other, and that means airing out what we are really thinking, but unfortunately that will offend some people and we're more worried about that than really fixing the problem.
