Hello black girl, do you have any white dresses in your wardrobe?

MOBO Awards in pictures: Mel B, Estelle, John Legend and more - mirror.co.uk
I have one but not quite so fine as that.

Hello black girl, are you happy?
Yes, I think so.

Hello black girl, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Well, I had hoped to be your bride; but I'm not sure I could do a white dress like the one pictured above justice.

Hello black girl, how are you feeling today?
This morning I feel pretty good. I think my 3 day migraine has finally gone away!

Hello black girl, do you think that you will be going on hols soon?
Probably not, as funds are a bit short right now. :frown1:

Hello black girl, why don't you go to sleep?
I do sleep; but I have had my days and nights mixed up for over a year now. :frown1: In addition I have severe obstructive sleep apnea and have to use a CPAP machine at night. I am doing chronotherapy to try and get my circadian rhythm back on track.

Hello black girl, do you have anything planned for the weekend?
I plan to put up some shelves in the garage for my mum.
I'll probably go to church as it's the first Sunday.
I'm in need of a pedicure . . .
Probably watch some football with dad

Hi njqt466
I have often envied black people's skin. I'm fair/ginger with freckles and my skin burns easily in sunlight. It's also more prone to skin cancer (which my mother had). I understand that black skin is more prone to keloid scarring. I was wondering if black skin is therefore more prone to stretch marks too. Would that be right? Can you think of any other pros or cons for black or white skin?

Actually keloid skin is also common in people of Scandinavian descent as well. I have no idea what the common denominator is there. While I am fortunate to not have keloid skin, I do have stretch marks from growing to fast as a child. The summer I was 7 my mom swears I grew 6 ". All I remember is these weird lines that appeared on my legs.
Stretch marks appear on the body in many different places for a variety of reasons. Stretch marks occur when the dermis, the middle layer of your skin, is stretched to a point where its elasticity begins to break down. At this point, microscopic bleeding occurs along with tissue inflammation which gives us the raised reddish purple look of newly formed stretch marks.

As the dermis is stretched, the outer layer of skin, the epidermis, also stretches making it translucent enough that you can see the reddish purple stretch mark forming. As these marks heal, scar formation occurs, and you have a stretch mark. Over time the marks fade to a silvery white color that is a few shades lighter than your natural skin tone. The lighter color occurs because during the overstretching of the dermis, natural collagen production gets disrupted. This in turn may cause loss of skin pigment producing cells.
Which is better? - "The O.C." or "One Tree Hill"
My sources say, One Tree Hill is better; but I think The O.C. is underrated.

Hello black girl, it was quite nice, I don't think we are having Christmas in England this year, I think that Mr Brown has cancelled it.
Are you feeling sad because nobody is asking you any questions?

Tell Mr. Brown to 'bugger off' and go on with the holiday as you normally do.

A tad bit sad, but I had 900 posts that's a pretty good run.

Black girl, did you miss Marley while he was gone?
Immensely! I feared the right wing whackos had run you off.
