Sister I know you can cook, but what was the last thing you burned on that ole stove that got your neighbors knocking?
Honestly, I don't usually burn food, I'm more likely to undercook some things occassionally.

About 10 years ago I was living in an apartment in Massachusetts and decided to cook chitlins. The pre-cooked and cleaned Park's brand was unavailable, so I did them from scratch. I bought a 10 lb. tub and after cleaning had about 4 pounds. :lmao: The godawful stench of them cooking got to me after a few hours and I threw them out. :frown1: But they did NOT burn. :biggrin1:

This is quite possibly the funniest thread on this forum.
Really? How so?

Do you miss NJ?
Yes, I miss New Jersey immensely! At this point I have resigned myself to the fact that I am merely marking time in Georgia until my parents die. Then I can sell this house and move back up north where I belong.

Have you ever wanted to be on the Grand Ol' Opry?
Yes, I have. When I was a little girl I wanted to be like Minnie Pearl and tell silly jokes and make people laugh.

In my pre-teen years I wanted to be the house organist on Don Kirschner's Rock Concert.

Ask a Black Girl Anything . . .
Step right up and ask those questions you've been wondering about black women and black culture for years.

DISCLAIMER: I'm 42, not 19 so if you ask a stupid question, you may get a stupid answer. :biggrin1:

OK you are now 43, so this might qualify as a stupid question since it is about something I've noticed on young black women who are maybe around 19.

What is it with young black women and PURPLE HAIR?

I don't know! I think it's a phase we all have to go through. When I was about 19 or 20 I used a hair product called Jazzin' Plum! I got sick of people saying did you know your hair is purple? Or OMG! Your hair is purple! I hope you didn't pay the colorist for doing that to you. Since yhen I have tried to stick with colors closer to my own (minus the gray).

Hello Santa, do you think you will be able to find my house?
With all those pink lights on your house how can he miss it? :biggrin1:

Why haven't you answered any questions? Have you been putting up Christmas decorations?
Yes, I have and they are spectacular!

Do you wear Apple Bottom jeans?
No, I haven't tried them yet. where do they sell them?

Hello black girl, where did you get your nice hat from?
Nashville, Tennessee - Home of the Grand Ole Opry!

Yes. A hat like this.
Only for you!

Would you wear a straw hat with the price tag still hanging off of it?
Only by accident. Or if I was being paid to perform at the Grande Ole Opry.

Hello black girl. are you dreaming of a white christmas? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DU__g5gELIA&feature=related
Oh yes! Yes, I am dreaming of a Wide Christmas. :biggrin1: :naughty:

Will you post photos of your spectacular Christmas decorations?
Of course. The tree is up although mother is not pleased with me because there are 4 boxes of ornaments left. Yet the tree is covered in glitz, bling, balls, ornaments, lights, and garland. The mantle is next and outdoor lights and decorations.

Hello black girl, do you think santa will bring you one of these :biggrin1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Vm4N9nNCkc
I certainly hope not! I prefer my dental floss to be mint flavored and I keep it as far away from my pussy and ass as is humanly possible. :biggrin1:

I HATE when people give me back handed compliments, such as:
  • I never liked black people before; but you're nice, you are one of the 'good ones.'
  • You're so polite & well spoken.
  • Wow! I never met a middle-class black person before.
  • You're cool! {Apparently ALL black people are inherently cool. :rolleyes:}

Do you think that people do not realize that they are really being racist when they say things like that? Why do you think they feel that they can spout off those sort of comments. I get offended when people say things like that.

That group are completely and totally clueless that they are being racist.
I think most believe it's just as good a compliment as saying "I LOVE your new hair style, it makes your nose look so much smaller." :biggrin1:

Surely, you've heard "I'm so glad my daughter is dating an Italian, your people are such good cooks."
