Please refrain a little re yr talk of Death&Dying?
(here and elsewhere) ha
I am getting Humanely depressed..about it all.
Besides i am sure F,Joe can access this site, let us know..and tell us you have been dumped by front end loader into a hole in the lower end paddock'!
(a double reason for visiting Glastonbury and taking in yr Shrine)
In saying that

 Oh rbkwp, death is just a natural part of life. I'm going to die. Everyone here right now is going to die. That shouldn't depress, in fact, it should be a good thing. Death is just a new lease of life. Our thoughts, or souls and memories will run down humankind, and that is an indisputable fact.

Life after death? Who knows. What we do know is that what we do today will affect the lives of our family, friends, people who see us. Our thoughts will live on even when we are buried six-feet under the earth.
If I died tomorrow, I wouldn't want people mourning my death, I would want them celebrating the impact my life has had on those still living.
We should live for the future, for those who need our influence.

Q- Do bovines believe in Euthanasia?
(can you give me a reasonably lengthy version please/as a relative .. its important fr me to know-ta)
enz

I don't know what to believe anymore.

On the one hand, if somebody is suffering. If each day is a living hell, why would they want to live? Someties people are in such a bad situation, it's either euthinasea or a slow death. These people lack the most basic right - the right to control their own life. And everyone's most basic right should be control over their own life.

On the other hand, euthanasea = murder.
At school, I learned murder is the premeditated, unlawful taking of a human life.
That's three tick-boxes. Euthinasea is premeditated. It is unlawful (in most places) and it is the taking of a human life.

If i were dying, I wouldn't want somebody to kill me, no matter how badly I would be suffering. Since they would become a murderer, and would suffer emotionally and possibly face a jail sentence if found out.

Is euthinasea right? I'm not sure. It would be closed minded to assume it is always wrong, as it would be closed minded to assume it is always right.

Unfortunately, life simply is never as black and white as a 'Yes' or a 'No'.

Dumbcow, I wonder what you think of the music of your human countryman Ralph Vaughan Williams. I ask because I read the following in an article on Vaughan Williams that recently appeared in the New York Times:

Philip Heseltine, an English critic who composed under the name Peter Warlock, is said to have likened “A Pastoral Symphony” (Symphony No. 3) by his countryman, Ralph Vaughan Williams, to a cow staring over a fence.

Google Vaughan Williams and that epithet, and you will also find it attributed to Constant Lambert, a composer acquainted with both men. The bovine imagery appears in other variations: Aaron Copland is supposed to have said that listening to Vaughan Williams’s Symphony No. 5 was like staring at a cow for 45 minutes. Elisabeth Lutyens, an English modernist composer, dismissed the British pastoral school, of which Vaughan Williams was the most prominent figure, with the withering term “cow-pat music.”

Dumbcow's obviously not highly moootivated at the moment.
Udderly dumbcowfounded and hoofed out.
Too much cream-pie if you ask me.
Left a boofy train over the hill that dried up in the sun.
He'll have to take the bull by the horn to solve this one, if you plese.
No more a-roamin-in-the-glomin for dumbcow.
