senor rubirosa : I am basically French and I believe it is true that sovereignty isn't much a concern to my generation. With globalization and all, it pretty much lost all its sense.

rec3000
: Je me souviens means "I remember" and is often translated to "Yours to remember". It applies to tourists in the way they have to remember Quebec, and to independentists that remember the English oppression back then.

: Poutine is supposed to look like it'd look into your stomach. It isn't supposed to look good. The question would be however, considering its digusting appearance, why drunk people eat it at 3 am when the bars close and don't throw up only by looking at it!?

Rec300: Je suis de Sherbrooke et toi?

njqt466: I think that culturally speaking, we really like wine as much as the French. However, since we produce almost no wine, we tend not to drink as much french wine as they do. The latest trend in Quebec is chilean wines. However, the younger generation is more wine affeccionado than the older generation as beer used to be the "people drink". As wine was really expensive at a certain time and Quebec being a modern province since de 1980s, it is to note that pubs and "tavernes" were really at the centre of the working-class social life.
