My workout routine is not complex, just consistent 6 days a week.

The biggest helper? A book: Body Rx. Got me eatin' RIGHT in college... And I think thats the biggest challenge for most people.

I'm neither straight nor a jock but I had thought about this recently. I think it comes down to the competitiveness. Being a jock has a lot to do with sports and sports is all about competition. The nice jocks are the ones who are taught that good sportsmanship is a part of being a real winner and everybody loses some and wins some. The assholes are the ones who grow up believing winning makes them better than the losers. They tend to reduce everything to numbers (how much you can lift, how much money you make, how many women you've had) because that makes it easy to declare winners and losers.

But like I said that's the observation of a complete outsider to the world of jocks.

That's really interesting, actually. It's what I'm trying to do against unhealthy food (fast food) and candy/snacks.. To try and change the mental image I have about those things as tasty, yummy, really good to nasty, unhealthy and bad taste. I've been without candy/snacks/ice-cream/cakes/soda (but I never drink soda) for 1 month today actually, but it's really hard.. I still know candy and chocolate tastes to freakin' good.
