What are the American themed steakhouses there in Australia? Are they pretty good?
All I found so far were Lone Star Steakhouse and Saloon and Tony Roma's. I don't know about Tony Roma's...but I have eaten at a Lone Star Steakhouse and Saloon here in the States. Not good.

I like Sagebrush Steakhouse better but you don't have one in Australia. So, if I were in Australia...I would have to go to the OUTBACK Steakhouse in Australia...or Lone Star. Lone Star would be my last resort. I think that I would go to a HUNGRY JACK's before going to a Lone Star.

The main two that i can think of are Lone Star and Hog's Breath cafe. I think i've only been to Lone Star once, but I go to Hog's Breath much more frequently, and they are pretty good.

Hog's Breath is a Singapore steakhouse franchise not American though. Lone Star is one of those one-time eat steakhouses anyway.

Are there any superheroes that are Australia born and bred? I am not talking about Australian actors playing superheroes either.

=================

What are your favorite Australian candy bars? If you get American candy bars there, what kind of American candy bars do you like?

I have had a Cadbury's CRUNCHIE bar before. I didn't like it at all because the texture of it was too hard to eat.

The bush hat (or slouch hat as its more commonly known here) is the official military hat of the army, and i believe having one side pinned up is so that a rifle can be shouldered without fouling the hat. Most wide brimmed hats worn by civilians don't have one side pinned up, and you'd probably end up with a very sunburnt ear!

And i've never had the excitement of being attacked by an angry wombat!

I don't think there are actually many australian superheros of note. Unless of course you count steve irwin and crocodile dundee as superheros :p

I think my favourite australian chocolate bar would have to be a cherry ripe. Cherry and coconut covered in dark chocolate, not too sweet, and not too chocolatey.

I don't think we get a lot of american chocolate bars here, but we do get the regular multinational companies (mars, nestle, cadbury)

oh, and violet crumbles are better than crunchies :p

I don't think that Steve Irwin as a superhero...but super yet heroic. Crocodile Dundee was a character personality of Paul Hogan.

Australians need superheroes.

That sounds good. Kind of like a Cherry Smash bar and an Almond Joy bar.

MARS bars nowadays aren't the MARS bars I grew up with. The MARS bars nowadays are like American MILKY WAY bars. SNICKERS ALMOND bars now were our MARS bar.

I have read that the VIOLET CRUMBLES bars were better than the Cadbury CRUNCHIE. The international candy store here near where I live had the VIOLET CRUMBLE bars. I will try those next time.

Is the OUTBACK Steakhouse restaurant good in Australia?
The one that is near where I live in the States is divine!!! The servers don't speak Aussie though.

No. They are bad over here. We also have less Ozzie themed junk on the walls.

The service, food and the Bloomin' Onion are much better in the US based restaurants.

My favourite is the Las Vegas restaurant.

of course! Vegemite on toast is one of my breakfast staples. It puts a rose in every cheek!

Funny; that's not what happened when I tried it. :puke:

Let's stick to beer. Has Brisbane got a brew of its own? Or what brand is most popular there?
