This was caused by Christmas falling on a Friday? I don't get it, 1-A games?

Praise the lord. At least Saddleback is one of the lesser evils -- Focus on the Family just did a staff cut, so among the evangelical behemoths, the good guys are winning. At least as it comes to serving Mammon, that is.

I read in the article that his church raised 1.7 million for hurricane Katrina victims and 1.6 million for Asian tsunami victims.

We all know things happen and it costs money to run an organization.

His congregation is rather large as well, from what I read there and heard about this man I don't fault him for raising money like this. My dad was a minister and ran a church, not this large, however there were obligations to be met.

I think he is doing his best.
