I find it almost ludicrous that with Congress's approval rating hovering at 13% because the American people are just tired of the political posturing and "games" as the President says --- some in Congress have the gall to say point blank, "I'm not coming" when the President calls for a joint session of Congress concerning a jobs proposal that WILL require their action. Kind of tells you how they're going to vote BEFORE the fact!

Well........so much for the job "creating" Republicans showing any kind of bi-partisan support.

Has this EVER happened before to anyone's knowledge?

Pre-emption: Jeff Sessions, the ranking GOP member of the Senate Budget Committee, says that the GOP will oppose whatever plan President Obama proposes. As expected, even though nobody knows yet just what the presidential proposal to create "millions of jobs" will entail, we all know it's not going to happen.

The President's jobs plan could be "Tax cuts for everyone who votes Republican" and the Republicans would STILL vote against it.

Who cares the fact is the Obama has NO PLAN its that simple. He simply needs to be honest and say "I am not sure how to fix the problem and it is going to be some time until we can come up with a solid strategy for recovery." Is that so hard Mr. Pres to be honest.

And why does anyone need a rebuttal to the speak anyway its so childish. Have them rebut what he says during his speak so Obama can answer the questions directly. All of the back and forth is not done with the other party present again it seems childish. Stand up be adults if you have something to say, say it in front of the other person and yes that mean Obama should allow open dialog during this speak.

Otherwise don't clog the airways with more platitudes, empty promises and just plain old BULLSHIT.

Actually, Obama does know the real way to help the job market. So do the Republicans.

Obama won't do it because it will never get it through congress and it would be pegged as a failure of his leadership. The Republicans won't do it because they want the economy to be as bad as possible till the next election day and don't want Obama to have any win ever.

Ahhh yes -- I REMEMBER John McCain's Campaign slogan "Country First!"
I guess he meant rural America!

And what's so revolting about this is that the Republicans will oppose and block any- and everything coming from the White House and the Dems just to reach their goals – on the backs of all Americans... they don't care if the country goes to hell until election day 2012
