Does anyone recall the exceptionally good Australian amateur(?) photographer who took amazing candid pics of rowers, swimmers etc. in the open ie at swim carnivals, rowing training/meets etc. They were basically spy pics. excellent bulge pics. He posted heavily on other forums then disappeared maybe 6-7 years ago.

From memory he always tagged his pics with his forum name with a symbol.

Some pics I saw earlier on here reminded me of his style and it triggered my memory of him any his exceptional work.

if anyone knows who he is/was and what he is up to now it would be greatly appreciated. Would love to see his old work as well as any new stuff that he might have.

Peter James published a paperback DOWN UNDER - To glorify the Australian Lifesaver.
I bought a 12 month calendar with his photos for 1989. All hot lifesavers in Speedos. Somehow, I found a copy of DOWN UNDER a few years later and still have it today.

Yes. His name is William. (His older images contain that name with the "c") He was a friend of mine for a while, until we fell out of contact, mainly because my HD crashed and I lost his email address. Sadly, I see nothing of what he's doing and all of his contacts say he dropped out of "the scene", probably for protection, as he did the photography by "stealth" and has a wife and family to protect. People were getting too careless with his images, cropping out the watermark, etc. I've tried several times to track to him down, to no avail. I really miss him.
