I discovered my porn in reverse. I started with all the new stuff, but became fascinated with how it all started. It seems to have all started with the Athletic Model Guild in the early Fifties. Back then , it was all bodybuilders in posing pouches, but then things got more daring as each year advanced. Does anybody know if there are any forums where early vintage porn is discussed? (By vintage, I DON'T mean Jeff Stryker). I'd love to discuss the origins of gay porn with other people interested in that time period, and the different models who started it all.

Check out Quaintance. His art was very big in the 50's. Also Western Photography Guild, for still photos. "Beefcake", published by Taschen, has a lot of 50's material. In those days, we took what we could get, and mostly it was jock strap poses. Ah yes, I remember it well......

Lately, I've been really into vintage films. There weren't many, but what there was was great. AMG made hundreds of these little films, starting with the "guys horsing around in jockstraps" to nudes to "romance films" (where straight guys roll around on top of each other and pretend to kiss) to simulated sex. Other studios were Kris, Zenith, even Bruce Of LA, although he was more known for still photos.
I love finding actors who started out in the "innocent" physique films, then crossed over to harder stuff. Bob Jackson and Larry Bourdeaux were two great examples.
My search continues!

Mark was one of my favorites at Old Reliable, along with Butch Gaylord, Mark Gillis and Scott Ruffing. I've been trying to find porn flicks that featured these guys , but no luck.
