I have never attended a gay sauna before, there was none near me. one opened recently and i will go soon. is gay saunas just a place for guys to have sex? or does people really go for the steam rooms. going on what this sauna offers im assuming its focusing on a place for sex rather than just gay men to hang out together and be free. heres what this sauna offers:

thats what i thought, cause in changing room at gyms and all, the tuff guys get a bit insecure when getting undressed which makes the gay guys paranoid incase they get accused of looking (which we all dont do) so having places just for gay men makes them more confortable at they arent being judged on sexuality. but why does it have to involve sex. i understand its open to have men walking about nude as some enjoy that. i not the type to walk around nude infront of others but if i built up the courage to do so in a gay sauna, i dont want guys to get the wrong idea thinking im up sex.

Well, I haven't been to a specifically gay sauna, but I go to Korean spas a bit, and they're "generally" a place to be nude, and have spa treatments. That's not to say that I haven't seen others going at it, or had someone get pretty forward with me (in one case actually had to fight someone off of me, which was a little scary).

There is a real freedom in sauna's. In my experience, you can do what you want (with consent of course) Some guys have sex in the open. Some have sex in private rooms, some are in private rooms but leave the door open. Unlike locker rooms, you can stare all you want in the showers and lots of guys coming into the showers still have semis if they have just finished.
