Attraction To a Type?

Yeah, having lived in the DFW area for a fair amount of time I'd have to agree with aviators -- I think a fair portion of the socially astute women here are possibly inclined to be more concerned about body image than being a mother/caretaker et al. I don't really know any society types from this area, but some of the ones I do know are a bit similar. Maybe less desperation than I've picked up on here. Just speculation on my part.

I'm attracted to a 'man's man', highly in shape, drinks beer, and doesn't mind if I hang out with him and the guys.

I've only had that once, in my son's late father... Airborne/SF/Ranger tabs, ran 2mi in 8 mins, told jokes that would make bikers blush, and was a loving man.

I doubt I will ever have anything remotely close again, so I don't just restrict myself.

What do you do when the type you're attracted to is not attracted to you?:frown1:

I run into this all the time! I have a thing for athletic guys (not overly muscled but in good shape - more stamina for sex y'know!), and want a guy with a steady job and all. There's more too, but this is a start.

What I generally attract are: Tall, stocky guys (that in itself is fine), who are not athletic at all, but are low stamina and often have chronic health issues. (This is only really an issue because of the sex - guys with health issues and low stamina usually have low sex drives, and are not able to go at it for very long if we do. Not talking about one particular guy here either - I've experienced this several times, actually). Usually doesn't have a steady job.

Also what I look for (yes, it's a bit of a laundry list): progressive, egalitarian, likes to cook (because I don't like to! :biggrin1, likes a wide variety of music (I like everything from really obscure stuff to mainstream pop). likes to travel and do a wide variety of activities - and who either doesn't want kids or doesn't want more kids (and his kids are older/moved out. I might be able to deal with older kids if I'm not expected to be a disciplinarian - not good at that! But younger kids are just too NOISY for me! I like peace and quiet at home, and that is off-putting to a lot of people.)

In women i like them to be very blonde,quite thin lips,feminine as in lifestyle/hobbies/mannerisms etc and quite short but in guys i like them to be dark with plump lips,masculine and tall as poss!

I'm attracted to, and my type, are girls that are into me. To be blunt, she could be a 2 or 3, but if I found out or could feel that she's into me, she'll jump to a 10.

nanny? every parent needs them whether they admit it or not.

I know this is kind of off topic but, not every parent needs a nanny... there are parents, even single parents, who do a hell of a good job raising their kids without hired help. Wow.
