I personally would like to meet the people who think 6'0 is short. It might be shorter than someone else but it is well over the average for adult males....thus making them tall. To me short would be anything under the average for adult males, which depending on your source is anywhere from 5'8 to 5'10.
Furthermore it is my right to be choosy. I never have and honestly never can see myself dating anyone under 5'8". Sure I might miss out on some incredibly amazing guy but that is my right....and trust me I won't be missing out in my opinion as height is one of the very few preferences I have in men.

As AlphaMale stated; height is relative. I can't even see over the counter at my video store! So to me, 6'0 + is MASSIVE. I still have to get on my tippees to kiss anyone that tall.
Feeling protected and safe if probably what my subconscious is guiding me for. Plus I am just amazed at how tall some guys are.
That's because some night clubs here are for lamers. Prissy little princesses that basically want to get a thrill out of flashing their coouch for the night. Yeah I found that Sydney night clubs (to me) are very, very sad. You have to find a good pub (it's the aussie way) to actually find the somewhat normal ppl.

Maybe women should ask men out more often as I am tired of weeding out the ones that don't prefer shorter guys. Glad I have the porn biz. I'm done with the dating scene. I'll stay single until we get progress here. Women are so judgemental. Can we help it if we are genetically short? Even racial preferences should be sin.
Maybe some (Asian) guy will invent a virus that kills off all the tall guys! Of course 5' 11" will have to be the break off point - 'cause that's my height.
A lot of women can't help it; tallness is simply an attractive trait for men.
It bothers me a lot, but there's nothing I can do. A tall man is to women is kind of what a girl with a big, beautiful rack is to most men. Instantly gets attention, and in some cases initial attraction. Short guys never really enter the picture in terms of people a women considers dating, and they have to work pretty damn hard to get in there.
It's still possible, and things like incredible confidence, being in very good shape, and awesome social graces can still get you some attention.
On the same side, though, it's a lot like when someone says it doesn't matter if you have a small penis, because if you're skilled enough, have good enough stamina, and are incredibly talented with your tongue and fingers, you'll be able to get the same reaction. It's comforting to think about and all, but one would still want a bigger dick.
Also, I'm 5'4", which is the shortest male height said so far in this thread, and from what I've read, is the average height for women.

Boo Hoo! I don't see why a woman is judgemental because she has a preferece for taller men. Sure height is a genetic thing but there are plenty of other people who crucify women for being too chubby or fat even. Sure maybe we could change those things about ourselves but why should we change ourselves for anybody but ourselves??? If somebody doesn't like me because I'm fat then whatever that is their preference. You don't see me bashing them. If women don't like you because you're shorter than they prefer then guess what....that's their choice. You shouldn't crucify them for that because it's a waste of time. Simply find somebody who doesn't mind your height. And if you're tired of weeding through women maybe you should be more direct about it. Ask women straight out if they have a problem with your height and boom....no time wasted.

Honestly it shouldn't be that hard for him. The average height of women depending on the source is 5'4 to 5'6. That means those women at that height or less are in the majority. It just so happens (for some unknown reason) that most of the women here are taller than average. Not all of us of course....so maybe we as a subset of women are biased. I think you make a good point though....most women just want someone who is at least as tall as them or at least within an inch or two. And quite honestly I don't think that is too much to ask or an unreasonable preference. It's not like anybody here is saying that all 5'4" women want a man who is a foot taller than her.

I'm 6'4", and after reading some of the replies in this thread, I almost feel like I should apologize for it or something, even though I have no more control over my height than does anyone else. I've never really felt like I've been the target of female attraction because of my height, but then again, I can be pretty dense about such things, or so I've been told. There are a few instances where I've been hit on by tall women, but usually I don't pay too much attention as I prefer short gals for some odd reason.
