I'm not saying I'd discount a man who is close to my own height.....just saying i'd much rather him be well over six feet so that I can wear heels and not feel like an Amazon. Sometimes I think it's closer to the other way around.....that super tall men prefer short women. Maybe we both have perceptions that are off though.

I hope 6'11 or 7 foot tall women don't feel the same way you feel because if that is the standard, they too would be left out and it would be their own fault on that one for not accepting a 5'11 guy. LOL.

Anyway, once they drop that standard, and realize it is a lonely world up there, I wouldn't mind wearing lifts to be closer to their height.

I never said I wouldn't date a man who was a bit shorter than me....I have before and I'm sure I would again. I've dated plenty of men under six feet tall. I just really don't want to date anybody I have to stoop down or look down at...especially if it is only made worse by my wearing heels.

And as for you wearing lifts....whatever makes you happy. I personally would feel ridiculous if you did because that would obviously be a sign that you/her weren't happy with the current situation. Above all else I don't believe in changing anything for the sake of what someone else might think.

I would have to wear lifts if a girl my height I meet at a bar or party is wearing heels so we can match heights. If women are unhappy with my situation, I too must change my situation to meet their expectations especially at the first meeting. Once she gets to know me as a cute little thing, then I would feel comfortable wearing normal shoes and by then, she has gotten to know me, not the dwarf she sees in front of her. At least she will remove her heels when we get inside mine or her apartment and then I can remove my lifts and we might be the same height or we might have a slight height difference. I do find more success in clubs with my "magic shoes" lifts than without them. I hope this doesn't sound negative but I am telling it like it is. One girl on this thread said "lie" and that is what I am doing to break the ice. This seems to increase my chances although there are some girls that are more adamant than you are about the height issue.

Honestly I'd rather date a man who was a few inches shorter than me than a man who was wearing lifts. That just seems desperate to me.....desperate and unattractive because he isn't happy with himself as he is.

Honestly, I do better with my new lifts than without them just like a handicap needs crutches or a blind man needs glasses. A woman would not even look at me without my new lifts and now I feel taller and look taller and it takes away my handicap. The girl I just met now knows I am a nice guy and she did mention that she liked taller guys but made an exception with me.

Bingo. No mentally sane woman would ever choose to be with a guy that is shorter than her.
Height means EVERYTHING to women.
and we're all laughing at you behind your back.
and hating you for not being perfect.
and mocking your empty wallet.
and planning our world domination, and the total subjugation of men.

bwahahahahahahaha!!!

Yeah, if a guy is going to be a wife beater, its best that he's taller. That way she'll stay with him no matter what. Good job JarJar

For someone taller... or was I misreading your humor?

LOL, that's the problem with the written word - the sarcasm doesn't always come through. My ex was tall and good looking. He was also lazy, spoiled, insecure, irresponsible and had an entitlement mentality. So the point I was actually trying to make was that no, height really isn't everything.

Sounds like he was a lot of bad all rolled into one.

I never said that. You're just stupid enough to make that conclusion.
And you would NEVER be with a guy that is shorter than you, no matter how his personality is.

No it's not. [enters panto mode]

That's very ill-informed of you to suggest that women who actually don't mind who they date in terms of height are mentally unstable. What planet do you live on, because it's certainly not earth!?
